    Re: @Shermur...everything okay?

Sweet, Wendy. Thanks for asking and caring, love.

It could be a combination of issues, not to mention I have aged and my body is failing me. I have lost count how many times since 2010 I have been to the ER and/or admitted for nausea, chest pressure, pain in left arm, massive heart burn? I have been told it is anything from GERD ( gastroesophageal reflux disease), Anxiety attacks, stomach spasms, menopause issues.....but, nothing is wrong with my heart, so the medical experts say. The last time I was admitted into the hospital for tests in December 2015? They had me on such a high dosage of a statin drug (chlorestoral meds), that I suffered immediate bad reaction took myself off in 2 days. My faith in the medical profession is not good....I want answers and resolution. Not mis-diagnosis.......

My DD went through something very similar a year ago. She was sent to every type of specialist known to medicine and she finally found out her issue was a hiatal hernia....responsible for arm pain, spasms, anxiety, nausea, extreme shortness of breath and heart palps. It's been a long road but she's almost normal again. Have you been seen by a GI specialist?

      Hugs & Prayers....

Barb.....no, I haven't been referred to a GI Specialist, but I want to be! Goodness knows, how long it would take around here. the last time my DH was referred to a Neurologist, is was going to take 3 months to get in and he had been to the ER 3 times in two months time. He called our insurance company and got in to see a specialist in Fayetteville, AR....not Fort Smith.
I hear the horror stories all of the time of how Primary Care doctors with their own offices in my area are convinced to pull time at the hospital, due to the fact there is not enough doctors to fill the need.

I too am sorry to hear you are going through this. It is crazy. It seems the doctors today just cannot make a correct diagnosis up front. I am so over the misdiagnosis crap. I will add a prayer for the answer to come quickly.

              Re: @Shermur...everything okay?

this sounds very similar to some issues I've had the last couple years. I had gone through all the typical tests for my heart which was good but I was still having issues. While in the hospital for an outpatient procedure I mentioned all the symptons I was having to the nurse and she also thought a hiatal hernia. I ended up going to a GI guy who did an endoscopy on my esophagus. I did have a hiatal hernia as well as some GERD. I now have to follow up with yearly endoscopies and I'm on meds for the GERD and I feel so much better! I hope you can get yourself to a GI.

Yes, my DD also had an endoscopy and it showed the hiatal hernia.

My ex has one too. He gets in trouble when he eats grainy dry things like cornbread and sometimes rice.
