    No TV Night Owl @,@

    Hoot hoot! We had a loud thunderstorm around six p.m. and the power went out briefly, and now the Dish TV isn't working. It might have lost its programming and only DH knows how to fix that. I can watch a few channels on the rabbit ears, though. It's flooding badly to the north of us but we aren't in that river basin. Some areas got ten to twelves inches of rain yesterday! So the towns are closing flood gates and sandbagging.

    How's everybody doing? I started a new diet last night. I'm hungry now but I'm just drinking a lot of water and trying to keep myself occupied with stitching. I completed a difficult area on my Trick or Treat embroidery. Hopefully the other areas will be easy peasy in comparison.

    Let out a hoot and don't...be an old coot? "Don't pollute" doesn't make sense!

    Try holding your on /off button for 10 seconds on your DISH receiver. This is how we reboot ours and we were given these instructions from their representive when we called in to their service number.

      Hmm...I can't seem to make that work but DH will be up soon. I'm plugging away on the cross stitch...

        I managed to get home a bit early from the fair tonight.

        The next three days involve watching a lot of sheep being paraded around the arena. Then I think on Sunday, I get o help clerk the fleece show. Oooh! Woolly goodness!

        Taking advantage of the early night to turn in and catch a few extra winks!

          Hoot hoot I haven't been able to join the Night Owls for several days because when mu computer updated something happened and I could no longer get on to the forum.I had my password reset and was still told the info was invalid,very frustrating.Kim I hope you don't get flooded.My dd bought a new house and may have to get dish for tv service do you like it?

            Hi Joan,

            We do like Dish TV for the most part. Every month they have free preview channels that change. I guess if you want those channels you might have to update your subscription and pay more. They used to have a fun games channel but that went away. Sometimes they drop a channel because it won't agree on Dish on what price to pay for it. But usually they aren't gone long.

              It turns out the Dish was fine, but when the power went off it messed up the VCR's programming and DH has the TV set up through this old VCR.

                Made it to Cameron. Hamilton tomorrow ... gotta get some sleep ... up early tomorrow. I knew this was going to happen. This night owl does not like being an early bird!
