    Thursday has arrived

It's official, FALL is here. It is a cloudy start to the day here and may have showers later.

I got the back yard cut yesterday. It was really long. Then I went to town for some groceries. I didn't do much of anything the rest of the day.

Not sure what today's agenda includes, maybe more housekeeping, (it really needs it).

Have a great day everyone and all those traveling to MSQC safe travels and have a blast.
Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!

Yes, fall is here and the heat is still on ...temps close to 90 forecasted for today. It's hot and dry. Not much going on here, I'm working today then my week is done. I'm enjoying it and learning a lot. I have two more passes to make on the donation quilt I have on the frame and it will be ready to trim and bind. Quilting has slowed down with the new job, but it's still going on!

For those going to the retreat, wishing you safe travel and a great time. For all, have a great day. Happy Fall, Y'all!

      Morning Everyone,

I woke up in the middle of the night with leg cramps and couldn't fall back asleep so I got up. Jeff just left for work and Dottie is napping. Olive is still in the hospital. Now they are telling us that maybe she can come home tomorrow or possibly the first of the week.

Wishing everyone on the road or in the air to M* a safe and wonderful trip. It sounds like it's going to be so much fun!!

I will check in later....breakfast is calling me.

          Re: Thursday has arrived

Good morning friends- we are still enjoying warm "summer-like" weather here in eastern Ontario and I hope it lasts til Christmas but realistically I know that's not going to happen. I too have been very busy since starting a part time job (not sure why I did it, except that it is in a fabric store and I am having a blast) When I saw the sign that they wanted part time help I just couldn't help myself from applying!!

Today is a partial sew day, I will try to get borders on 2 quilt tops this morning, then a dr. appointment this aft and then work at 4 so it is a very busy day. I find I have to grab shorter sewing time chunks when I can but that's ok- when I go off to work it means I can spend time with many beautiful fabrics. I am even thinking of trying garment sewing again. I think I will start small cause I'm not totally convinced this is what I want to do but need to get that "bug" out of my system. I sewed just easy pj pants for the grandsons a couple of years ago and declared then that I was not interested in making clothes anymore but who knows. I have seen lots of beautiful knits and suiting materials at the store so may give it another go.

I do so wish I was heading off to the Retreat again this year but it is not to be for this time. Have fun ladies and buy a fat quarter or two. You know you need them. Travel safe and waiting for the stories.

Morning all and happy Fall! LOVE this weather! Sleeping with the windows open is awesome! And not having to use AC is a bonus also!

This week has gone by fairly quickly. Groceries tonight, and then fish tank maintenance. Exciting evening ahead! woo! LOL!

Love and hugs to all in need! xoxo

Nice Fall day to begin the season. A few trees have begun turning but it will be awhile before we can think of jumping into piles of dead leaves. Reminds me to get my Fall wreath hung on our front door and maybe a few mums in the planter. Enjoy your day.

Nancy, I couldn't work at a fabric store, I would owe them money because paycheck wouldn't be enough. LOL!!

                  Re: Thursday has arrived

I had a nice visit with my daughters in San Francisco. Man those hills are a killer. I'd be in great shape if I lived there. The weather was warmer than expected and we had sun every day. The girls' apartment is very nice but they still need some serious organizing to happen. Joe did some for them while we were there - putting hooks up to hang things on, etc. I did just about all of the driving since Joe somehow managed to lose his drivers' license during his whirlwhind east coast visit. It feels good to be home, however, I have little motivation. This always happens to me the day after we return from being out of town.

Some sad news - I've recently reconnected with my college sweetheart. I just found out he has stage 4 rectal cancer which has spread to his liver. He's in treatment and hoping it will buy him a few years. I'm hoping to spend a bit of time with him if he's feeling up to it after this next round of chemo. Say prayers for him please.

                      Re: Thursday has arrived

Wow where did the morning go?! It is nearly noon and all I did today was walk the dog, drink coffee, talk on the phone, and read the Forum. It's my day off and I am feeling very lazy. No wonder the quilt I am working on seems like it will never get finished! So I am forcing myself to step away from the computer and get my rear in gear with the needle and thread! Have a great day everyone. Happy first day of fall!

                        Re: Thursday has arrived

I'm just now getting to the Forum. The service man came this a.m. to drain & winterize our swamp cooler. It's all covered up. Another fall project completed. DH used to do all these projects, but no longer can do it, so we pay to have it done now.

Definitely a touch of fall in the air here. All morning it was only in the 60's & cloudy. We're getting a sun break now; high has been 76. We live at almost a mile high, so we definitely are getting some color here--mostly gold on the aspens & honey locusts. Lots of color in the mts. already. The red maples will give us some color later on.

I'm ready to relax with a cup of coffee & work on my Bible Study lesson.
