    Saturday

Good morning all. It's a cool morning here. Looks like fall is on its way. I am looking forward to it.

Going to pick up hubby's new car this morning. He is excited. Other than that, I see laundry, housework and some sewing on the agenda for the weekend.

Can't wait to hear all about Monique's trip when she gets home. Sending hugs, prayers and good thoughts to all that need them. And, Blondie, if you pop in to read a few threads, know that we miss you tons and hope you can get back here soon.. We're still smiling.

Be well and have a good day everyone.

Oh, A New Car, enjoy it. Feeling free today and after the parade passes our street will be open so we may take off to do a little fun shopping, Could use some mums for the planters by the front door so trip to a big farm market maybe our destination.

Sounds like a fun and exciting day for you at your house, Ginny!

Yesterday was a day I have been waiting on for a VERY LONG TIME, I closed on the house my daughter had lived in since 2003. The babies were brought home to it, happy and sad times spent in it. When they told me they were moving 1000+ miles I was devastated. I know I cried every day for a month. I knew I had to sell the place as I was tired of being the landlord. Spent some serious cash fixing it up and it went on the market in January. We got a buyer pretty quick, but the loan process was roadblocked quite a few times. Gave up on that buyer after 2 months of delay, found another buyer, this one actually closed. In the meantime, I was still putting out monthly mortgage, insurance etc. money, plus maintaining the place! Neighbor's tree dropped a big branch on the cedar fence, had to repair that. A few other expensive repairs added to the cash flow! At last, yesterday was the day for new owners. I handed over the keys to the new owner with a huge lump in my throat, those were the keys my grandson carried with him every day to school. On to the next phase of my life!

      Have a great weekend!

Good morning all, certainly glad it's getting cooler somewhere. North Texas has decided to hold onto summer a bit longer!! I'm so ready for fall!!

Jean, I know closing on the house was definitely bittersweet for you. I have seen you mention all the outlay of money you have been making on it so I know it will be a big relief to not have that going on constantly!! But I also understand the emotional part too. My thoughts are with you about it and hope you start getting to do even more fun stuff with the extra money that won't be going out!!

Ginny, a new car is always fun and exciting!

Hope everyone has a good weekend! Stay cool and we are going to try!

Good afternoon from Thunder Bay. I decided that for today we would get a room and have ourselves a nice dinner. There is a whole lot of nothing between here and Sault Ste Marie. Rain is all around us so this is a nice treat. Can't wait to be home!!

Bittersweet, but for the best I am sure.
