The past two days MM has not felt well at all. He started taking his antipuke pills, to include a Compazine when he goes to bed. When he got up today, he said he is feeling better. Then there is me with my sympathetic chemo illness.....upset stomach, messed up throat (he has that), earache (he has this too!), and tonight a bloody nose. I never get bloody noses. I can handle all these things with me, but I just want him to feel well.
For over a year, our oldest daughter has had a lump in her right elbow. She has not been able to straighten her arm and has pain up into her neck. After Roger got his cancer diagnosis, her sister read her the riot act and told her to get her butt into the doctor! Well, she did and they have done tests and an MRI. She got her results back today. She has one of the worse cases of rheumatoid arthritis for someone her age (39) that her doctor has ever seen! He told her they were going to drain the lump and give her a cortisone injection. The fluid in the lump is too thick to drain, so they shot it full of steroids to thin it out and her body will absorb it they said. She is being referred to a rheumatologist, and I suspect she'll be seeing them the rest of her life. At least, maybe, she will have some relief now.
Oh.....one more week to go and they are all on their own! Think anyone would be offended if all I do at the retreat is sleep?
