    Tuesday nigh Hooting Owl

So how is everyone tonight. No sewing for me for another week. Finishing laundry for the trip.

Saw that there's another tropical system developing off Florida. Ugh - more rain and more humidity. It should pass before we get on the road.

I've noticed lately that I get a mid-week slump. The excitement of the weekend fades by Tuesday and Wednesday is just Blah. Thursday I start looking toward the weekend and the mojo starts coming back.

Do you have a bad time-of-the-week? Y'all stay safe.

Hoot I hope you miss the storm or even better maybe it will just fizz out.I get a week long slump,i'm on disability so I can't work or drive and don't have many friends that live close by.The only time there are people around is on the weekends so it can be lonely here.

I'm supposed to be sewing, but my stomach does not feel good. I'm pretty sure I have sympathetic chemo illness I do have to go turn off my lights and machines though.

I ordered about 80 zippers today....that should keep me busy for a while!

MM is at work, but he was not feeling well when he left and said he'd probably be home in a couple hours. Poor guy....he doesn't want to call in sick and forgot to bring his work laptop home so he could work from here. He has qualified to be on disability, but doesn't want to start using it yet in case he needs it for surgery.
      pat.

      No rain....no rainbows!

Pat I hope you feel better, could it be nerves upsetting your stomach? If you're anxious at all I would probably try some Tums to control excess acid.I hope MM feels better also,he's lucky he qualified for disability this early. When my DM had cancer she was told she had about 3mos left to live and she didn't qualify,I was so mad.

The disability is thru his work, not the state. You have to miss a weeks worth of work in a row, which he has done twice in the past month, so any future days he has to take off, he will get paid w/out taking any sick or vacation time, which is nice. We have scheduled his chemo for Fridays since he works Monday night thru Thursday night, so he should not miss any work. If he doesn't feel well enough and his computer from work is here, he can just work from home. I think he would have done that tonight, but he was feeling so good yesterday he didn't bring it home this morning. Bet he doesn't do that again!

I have plenty to do, I just don't feel like getting to the sewing room though.
Joan, wish we could get together and sew up a storm......oops, did I say storm!
Judy and Pat I hope you guys have a big bunch of fun at the retreat!!!
......and Pat, hope MM continues to do well so you can enjoy yourself!

Hoot hoot...I've been backstitching my gold Santa this evening. Yesterday I did some big stitch quilting but I'm not using a hoop and it tends to make my left thumb sore as I push the quilt up to the needle with it. So I may have to invest in a quilt hoop. Luckily I don't really have a bad time of the week. I like being up at night with DH. I just made French toast. I'm saving seed for the monarch butterfly group to put in their seed dirt balls next year. I've been buying DH polo shirts off of eBay on the cheap...I've never bought clothes there but these are really nice brand name shirts and I can get them for two or three dollars...the shipping actually costs more than the shirts. They say "preowned" but they don't appear to have any wear at all. They look brand new. They all arrive very perfumed so we have to wash them and dry them out in the sun to get rid of the smell. I don't know if the clothes sellers on eBay use Febreze as a matter of course? Every shirt has come from a different place. It's a lot easier than trying to find shirts in the stores on an end of summer sale.
