    Brand new Key...Katharine McFee ?!

I looked up Brand New Key and almost all I could find was by Katharine McPhee ! I did not know she had done this!
Well, anyway it was one of my favorites back when we had 45s......I would play it over and over til my Step-Father said "One more time and I'll break it"
My brother put it on and no matter my protests he broke it!

What's your favorite from the Seventies?
(my apologies to those of you born after 1980)

It has to be Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Simon and Garfunkel.

Early 70's .. Elvis..any song Beatles .. Yellow Submarine .. Conway Twitty..Hello Darling Dolly Parton ..any song
Later 70's .. Anything by the Bee Jees or Donna Summer or the Commodores ... Loved that disco music LOL .. but also still loved Merle Haggard, George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Dolly Parton, anybody playing the Grand Ole Oprey .. My music tastes are very varied still to this day

There was a lot of good music in the 70. Hate anything country especially whiney tear jerking country that was out in the 70's. I was a disco and rocker girl. Still hate country music to this day.. crossover is meh.

I heard whatever the kids were playing...along with all the neighbors! With 3 in 3 different schools my life was a whirlwind. Now ask me about the 50's and early 60's and I might remember!

Yes! Saw them three times in concert. One I don't remember.

"Still" by the commodores. I really do not listen to any of today's music...if I am driving I always have my cds in to play...the oldies from the 50's, 60's & 70's or older country songs.

I listened to top-40 pop music and "folk rock" back then; Carole King, Simon & Garfunkel, Gordon Lightfoot, even the Carpenters and Helen Reddy. Also Jim Croce and James Taylor (saw him in concert at Carnegie Hall). Great memories!

haha, I named my youngest daughter after Melanie....loved, loved that song so much! Not so long ago I played it to my daughter who is now 28 and she just looked at me..."really, Mum? You liked her singing? Sorta weird isn't it?"

sigh, sometimes they just leave ya wondering don't they?!!!!

Ooooo, what about "Ruby Tuesday" by Melanie or the Stones...mmmmmm 'nuther goodie.
