    Early Night Owls

The first Hoot of the evening is from Florida. I have been watching football and thinking about the precuts I have in my sewing room. I have been making zippered pouches for Christmas gift and taking a break from my Driftwood (Let's Quilt Something Together.com) quilt top. I did not realize it was as big as it is! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and are getting the jump on a great week! Rooty Hoot Toot!!

Van is ready to go on the road trip and car is getting prepared for storage.
Hair appointment Tues and 2 more Dr appointments Wed & Thurs.
Making selections of what material to take with me Wed & Thurs, too.
Friday is laundry day and Saturday is pack-the-van day.
Looks like my sewing will not start again until we pull in to Hamilton.
Luckily nothing in the way of Tropical weather headed this way to ruin the trip!

    Y'all stay safe.

I woke up around 7:30 this evening and came upstairs...and fell back asleep on the couch! There was an old Bette Midler special being rerun on GetTV that wanted to catch. They played it twice so I got to hear it although I slept through parts of it each time.

I did get some stitching done on the gold Santa but I had to take the hoop off...my left wrist and thumb were hurting when I held it. They feel better now. I guess I'll drink some coffee and get back at it later. Glad to hear from the owls!

I spent the evening sewing. Then when dh got off work, we worked up apples which will be turned into applebutter. We have a system down where we can slice and core a bushel of apples in about 45 minutes. Then cook them until soft. Once they cool, we run them through the food mill. Then the applesauce goes in the crockpots to have some water cooked off (sometimes we don't have to cook off the water but these need it). In the morning, we will measure the applesauce and add the rest of the ingredients to make applebutter. Depending upon how the applesauce/applebutter goes, we will either can it tomorrow night or on Wednesday morning.

We are getting ready to have some rain. So I am going to head off to bed.

Have a hoot of night everyone
