    Monday and all's quiet

Yes QUIET!!! Maizyn has gone home after being here for 10 days. She was the best little girl, I could not have asked for more. I took her to the fair on Friday and she and Elaina had a blast. Saturday we had dinner with friends and she was again so good. She even spoke to two of the ladies. AMAZING!! She only speaks to children. And Jodi says that she spoke to a set of her grandparents yesterday for the first time. Things are looking up.

So today I have lots to do to get ready for our trip, plus clean up here a little. I may try and get some sewing done for the fair which happens this week. I also need to gather up my projects to enter in the fair.

OH!! I almost forgot, I got a new set of boobs on Saturday. My friend's aunt knit me a pair. AWESOME!! They are beautiful and my friend Cathy gave me the most beautiful poncho as well. I am so lucky to have such wonderful friends.

Here is the link for the knitted boobs: http://www.knittedknockerscanada.com/

    Have a wonderful day friends.
Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!

good morning Monique.....I'll bet your new boobs are beautiful. What a wonderful organization...I'm wondering if there is one here in the states....think I'll google it later.

Spent a lovely quite day with DH yesterday. We played hooky from church. Went to the pool for a couple of hours. Came home and watched a little TV and read our books. Then we topped it off with a yummy dinner of steak, corn on the cob, caprese salad and 2 of the most delicious chocolate chip cookies you've ever eaten. They were made by our neighbor, they are quite large (really - 1 is plenty) and simply melt in your mouth.

I'm going to try to get in the sewing room today. It seems that lately something always comes up to keep me from sewing. I need to make a couple of table runners for my sisters (looking for an easy to do pattern) and of course I need to make a few shoe bags.

Monique, I really thought that since it gets cold up North that your new boobs would come with a scarf! (Sorry, I just couldn't resist).

Monique, I think Sandy has a new hobby, her boob scarf is a winner.

No time to hang around this morning as DGD Catherine is coming over this afternoon for lunch, need to get a light meal together, chicken salad, mixed green salad, fresh cantaloupe and mango. Also want to make a quinoa dish for her. Nice and cool today so we may eat outside on the deck. We had a nice lunch yesterday with Catherine's Mom & Dad (DS#2), I had a yummy sole and shrimp dish with fresh steamed broccoli, just took one forkful of the rice side dish as I'm on a low carb diet and I fell of the wagon during last week.

                    April, Your kitty is adorable.

                      What a hilarious picture, Sandy!

We're having clouds to start the day. Chance of showers this afternoon. I'm hoping to get some flower bed weeding done this a.m. while it's cool & before the garbage truck comes by. Yest. was church in the a.m., sewing in the p.m. I have the Herringbone quilt top done, threads clipped, & the sections of backing sewn together. Also sewed together all 10 strips of binding; it's rolled on the cardboard tube & ready. I'm in the queue for the LAer for the last wk. of Sept. This will be a gift for DGS who is getting married Sept. 3 in MD. Now I'm working on blocks for the Cutting Corners pattern.

I hope everyone has a good start to their week.

Good morning! It's still really hot here but it's supposed to cool down with lower humidity as the week progresses. Yay!

I'm starting something new for me. I've been offered the opportunity to work from home 3 days a week doing bookkeeping for a realty firm that owns apartment complexes including one locally. My husband knows one of the owners and told him a couple of years ago that I might be interested if they ever needed some part-time help. The owner called DH last week asking if I was still interested. I spoke to the owners by conference call and they are willing to give me a chance so I'm taking it. I'm excited and a little scared at the same time. Everything is done on the computer via a network so I can work from my kitchen table. Say a little prayer for me if you would. Thanks!

                              Hi Everyone,

Having a pretty good day. I trimmed the edges of my Flutterbye quilt to get them ready to bind. I may tried a flanged binding sewn completely by machine....a first for me. I tried it on a placemat once and it was dismal. Since Reggie is retiring I guess my quilts will go to M*. At least I know they will be in good hands there. We really have a shortage of experienced longarmers around here.

Glad you like your knitted knockers, Monique. I would think they would be far more comfortable than the rubber ones. Soft and comfortable is the way to go. If I could knit I would join the group who makes them. All I can knit are dishrags and those not to well.

Wishing everyone a good day. I'm marching to a different drummer today and think I will take a nap.

                              Hugs Everyone!
