I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my own father nearly 30 years ago and I've never stopped missing him. It gets easier with time but never leaves. You will be in my prayers.

You have my condolences. Losing a parent is never easy, even if they are ready to go. So much of our identity is wrapped up in our parents. When my elderly dad, then my mom passed, my 50-something sister said "We're orphans now" which I found strangely poignant, if a little odd. We never outgrow our need for parents. Hugs to you.

Sorry for your loss. My DH & I sort of feel like orphans, too. Both sets of parents have been gone many years ago, & our siblings died within the past few yrs. I have a SIL & some cousins, but we both still miss our parents. May God give you peace & comfort. With my thoughts & prayers.
