Louisiana quiltyfriends - are you okay?

Been praying today for my DIL's family in Baton Rouge; her grandparents, who are in their 80's, were rescued from their home, so they are out of the water, but the water is not out of their house.

Hope all of you from Southern Louisiana are okay - continuing to pray for you all!!

Thanks for checking. We are on the southwest side of the state. It's raining now.....we have water standing in the yard in a few places but not bad. My aunt lives about and hour east of us and they have 3 inches of water under their carport. Fortunately their house is not on a slab. From what I've heard there is some flooding in areas around Lafayette also. We had just enough time to go eat lunch today for my b-day tomorrow and get back home before it started raining again.

I know Lonna's parents have water in their house. She has water in her yard. Leaving it in the Lords hands. Sending prayers for all involved.

Oh my - I had not heard about this! Praying all are safe. We're having lots of rain here today which is badly needed but there are flood warnings around too. The ground is so dry and hard, and the rain is coming down so fast that it can't soak in - it just runs off. The creek at the bottom of our street is flooded but we're up on a little hill so we're OK.

            Lonna's latest update on FB:
Well both my Mom and Dads and my brothers home have taken on water. I live in a mobile home and the water is up to the bottom step.
            Sending prayers her way.
