Monique is heading out on her trip and Blondie hasn't popped in here yet so I thought I'd get us started this morning.

Looks like another hot one here today. It is pretty cloudy with a bit of drizzle but not cool at all.

Short week at work for me. I'm taking off on Friday to put in a full two days in Brooklyn and finish off the last of the projects and then we will be done.

Good Morning, Thanks for getting us started this morning Ginny as I'm kind of dragging this morning. Think we need a new mattress as I had spent a lot of time trying to get into a comfortable position.

I was beginning to feel like a prisoner as our area has been under a Heat Advisory all week with everyone cautioned to stay indoors especially during the mid day. Just had to get out and about yesterday so we went to a local tavern for an early dinner with DS#1. Glad we did as food was excellent and we were able to sit and talk to each other and catch up. DS still has no word from his DD in CA about their new baby boy 's name. He's over a month old but they took much longer to decide on a name for their first child so I'm going to label the new baby's quilt For Baby G and send it off to CA.

Lots to do this morning, telephone calls and scheduling appointments so I better get to it.

Good morning! I've already had my son to the dentist and back, next is my daughter's meeting at the church for checking in on our homeschool catechism work we do to keep up, next year should be her first communion, so we're excited for that!!

It's a high of 93 here today, so nice and cool compared to what we have gotten used to in ATL this summer. I have a lot to do today, but mostly I'm stressing over a want/need to finish a quilt for a friend who did our family portraits last fall. I'd like this off my plate but I'm not sure I can swing it..... We shall see...

We're bound to the house today waiting on the 'signature required' package from FedEx. They were kind enough to robo-call us at 8am on Sunday to let us know we needed to be here, then they gave us the thoughtful windows of 8am to 8pm for delivery so, that about sums up our chaos for the day... That and needing to pack to go north tomorrow, via train, overnight... I love my Dad, or I wouldn't have agreed to this self inflicted insanity!!

Good Morning! It is already a cooler day here than it was with the weather last week. A great morning to have the windows open and let in some fresh air. My plans changed for the day as we ended up working up the corn yesterday. So today I am hoping to make it back to the sewing area for a while.

We are at the 2 month count down til the Fall Forum Retreat. I am so excited!!! We do still have two spots open for people wanting to stay at the retreat and 3 spots open for those who want to commute (I know it only shows 2 commuter spots but there are 3). Sure wish I could go to the retreat, but my big splurge was the trip I took with my sis to South Dakota and Wyoming.

Nothing exciting go on around here. I'm going to try and finish up a quilt I started in the Netherlands for east coast friends. Joe will give it to them when he sees them next month. I started a wall hanging for my family room but set it aside to finish up the quilt.

Still sanding the cupboard and hoping to have that finished soon so I can start staining it.

Hot, hot, hot is the weather forecast probably until November.

Sunny here & expected to be another hot day. It was 98 yest. We are waiting for the plumber to come check out things. Our bsmt. toilet overflowed Fri. DH snaked it; it's working ok right now. But our house is 44 y.o. so we think we should have the sewer line checked out. Not sure if they will run a camera out to the street or what yet. I hope it won't be too expensive. Anyway, it sure made a mess all over the floor on Fri. Had to wash the rugs as well as the towels I used to soak up the water, then mop the floor. All unplanned activities for that day.

I finished the FMQ on the baby quilt yest., trimmed the edges, & it's ready now for the binding.

The gardener lady is coming today to do more weeding in my flower beds. I feel like between us we are making good progress. It doesn't look quite so discouraging now.

Late getting in here today...thank goodness for cooler temps. I can't believe it is only 2 months away from retreat time...I have been a busy little beaver working on my favors, once I finally decided what I was going to make. They are time consuming....but I do like them, and hope the other retreaters will as well. Guess I should get back to them.
