We are on our way to Indiana from Kansas and last night we ended up staying about 30 miles from Hamilton. But of course it was too late for the stores to be open and they aren't open on Sunday so it was a wasted opportunity. Now we are at a lake outside Springfield, IL. Has your GPS ever left you stranded in a bean field? It's not fun when you are pulling a 16 ft trailer with a gyrocopter on it behind a 32 ft camper. But we are here and the wind is blowing across the lake but the humidity is still out of this world. Boy are we having fun! Really we are.

I feel your pain. We did something similar a few years ago. DD wanted to go somewhere in North Carolina. It was a 4 hour drive and we were going to stop at Mary Jo's while we were near by. We drove to Mary Jo's to find them closed since it was Sunday. I was so bummed because it will be a long, long time before I am that way again. -

Too bad about missing M*...so near and yet so far. You will have to make a special trip back and spend a couple days. With all the new shops open now I would need two days to look and shop.Comment

Well--welcome to Illinois! I'm not that far from Lake Springfield and you certainly did pick a hot and humid time (Very typical for this time of the year) to go through our state! I did have to laugh at ending up in a bean field though. My GPS once had me go around the block then continue on the way I was already going.sigpicLynne in central Illinois
