Yes another HOT ONE, although it is raining (softly) outside. Hopefully it will rain all day. Things are so dry around here. I did NOTHING yesterday because it was so hot and I don't have a/c. Last night was so terribly hot to sleep, ceiling fan and floor fan going all the time. I melted a few times. Oh well, it won't be long before we will be complaining it is too cold.

I think today may be a grocery day. I did not get groceries last week because we were both going to be away. I work tomorrow, so a quilt day LOL!!, and then Saturday I am selling tickets at a Jamboree and it is off to a birthday party for my brother. He turns 58 today.

Peggie should be gone and away for her trip to Scotland. We won't see her back here until August. I am sure she will have a wonderful trip to tell us all about.

Morning Everyone,

It's been storming since 1 am but I think most of it has moved to the south of us.

I cut out some fabric for some easy zipper bags this morning. I may get to plug my machine in later this morning. I have errands to run for most of the morning.

Had a better night with Scooter....Thankfully.
He's better, still week, but eating some now, I tried to keep him hydrated, with sering's until, he could get around better. He was a sick lil boy.

Good morning, everyone! Yesterday was my birthday and I celebrated by going to the DR's and taking the car into the shop. We drove home from DE to GA in 90 degree weather and the AC blowing hot air! As soon as I got the laundry under control and the groceries restocked, the car was next in line. The technician said the hot air was due to a screw being loose - we shall see. It seems to be working at the moment.

The doctor changed my meds again, so hopefully, I can get back on track. I think the old meds were hurting me and not helping me. It's always an adventure to see what the new meds will do.

The highlight of my day yesterday came from my DS baking me a cake. He's never baked before and it turned out wonderful - spice cake with cream cheese icing - yummy. My husband will be taking me to a new restaurant on Friday to celebrate. Diet starts Saturday!

Hoping for some quality time in the sewing room today to work on the 365 blocks. 365 days don't all have to fall in the same year, right?

Monique, I feel for you with the lack of AC. Maybe you can grab a catnap today sometime.
Bubba, would you be so kind to send some of those storms our way?

It is a beautiful day here, a nice breeze but it will ease right up to the mid nineties later on.
I got more Farmgirl blocks done yesterday, coming down to the last 5-6 which I hope to at least cut out later today.
First there is exercise then the grocery store, having 8 plus two little kids come to dinner tomorrow night. A niece is in town so cause for celebration. I think we are having meat loaf, parmesan potatoes, broccoli salad and a peanut butter pretzel pie I saw on facebook. I think I need to fix another something, maybe some pasta salad. It is too hot for much baked side dishes.
I love Jean's lone star, I have a number of jelly rolls that need some inspiration, I sure need help figuring it out though. Oh Jean, another youtube video would be fantastic.

Oh Monique I don't know how you survive without AC! I simply have zero tolerance for the heat anymore. At least in winter I can put more clothes on! I don't think my work would like it if I showed up naked! LOL! We actually have a heat warning here today...had a TON of rain last night which we needed so very badly! Our trees were NOT happy so I'm sure they are relieved today! It rained so hard that it actually woke me hitting the windows.

I finally figured out my frustration with work...and as usual it was a PICNIC - Problem In Chair Not In Computer....meaning my fault. We have a system where we have to report issues and it gets copied to the entire team...I hate that everyone gets to see my mistakes!! uhg. Anyway, all fixed and cleaned up so on to other things!

Tonight I have a dieticians class on eating as a diabetic but yesterday I got my blood sugar down to 6.5! WOOO ME! Then ruined it by having fish and chips for dinner. lol Up to 9.2 this morning. I am getting the hang of this diabetes eating thing and will likely be losing weight as a result so really shouldn't complain. 9 Days until I'm on vacation...still SO MUCH to do so best get at it!

morning all checking in ,, Cindy no air yuck miserable hope they got car fixed. Bee good news on sweet dog. may not see me for a while my sweet niece thought that not announcing her engagement was a good thing till she got the ring Not. I mean church booked place for reception booked announcements ordered . got the ring about 2 weeks ago wedding is the 10th of Aug gurrr , so frantically working on her quilt. chose an easy one from cozy quilts. Would not t have been so bad but her brother is getting married Sept 17th and I also have a niece having her first baby after several years of trying first part of Oct.
I also m doing some writing for PR . Know it does not look like I can write here but I am somewhat doing this fast. hope all have a great day will check back when I can Cecelia

It's storming like crazy here. Even the windows on the big front porch have to be closed cuz the rain is blowing sideways and coming in. That almost never happens.
Went and looked at the house across the street that they just put up for sale. It was a flip. Beautiful job but quirky. Why would you put a full bath on the back porch so anyone walking from the back door to the kitchen is walking in between the toilet and the bath/shower? You could be sitting there minding your own business and have someone walk in. Not my idea of fun! And one of the bedrooms has no windows. I didn't think that was legal. But all four bedrooms have cedar lined closets and ceiling fans, which are a must here. Too bad I can't afford to buy it as it's twice as big as what I am in. Oh well.
Packing up to leave Saturday morning for Indiana, up by Fort Wayne. While he is flying I think I will go to the genealogy library. It's the second largest in the states.

It's hot her, too.... But, I am so fortunate to have AC.... But, I fo remember what it was like not to have it... When we were kids, the only places with AC were theaters and department stores... Those theaters were icy.....

It was bad, but I really fo think we coped with the heat and humidity better then,mbecause our bodies were acclimated to it.... More so than today, when many of us pretty much avoid the heat and humidity...if we want to...

Even do, I love to sit out on my breezy covered patio, and enjoy the summer warmth.. Mornings, and early evenings are wonderful....

I hope those if you without AC can find ways to stay cool...
