Good morning friends. Neck is still stiff this morning. More heat will go on it today as I have taken my bag with me.

I just read that Canada Post will impose a lock out by Friday. Should it go ahead, there will be no mail coming in nor going out. I am still waiting on a parcel, hopefully it comes before that.

I did get quite a bit of quilting done yesterday. Today is another day isn't it.

Not much else happening here.

I hope all my friends here had a wonderful long weekend, Canada Day or July 4.

What a gorgeous morning. The temp at the moment is quite cool with the promise of being much hotter today - up to 30C (85F). Still no significant rain, so our lawn is looking very burnt.
Today, in preparation for our vacation, is a trip to the salon for a mani/pedi with my daughter, while DH is off to babysit her kids. Then off to do some shopping...something DD and I have not done together for a longtime because our schedules just didn't coordinate. Should be a fun morning! Hopefully, I will get home in time to do some sewing on my "Homeward Bound" Bag before its time to make dinner and watch the baseball game.

Even though we're retired we enjoyed the extra long weekend but now it's back to our everyday routines. Town's fireworks went off last night and also a few neighbors set off a few but much less noise this year. PT at noon and haircut and coloring at 2, better take a non drowsy allergy pill. Think I'll have to make the coffee this morning, DH got up when I did but I think he's gone back to sleep as I don't hear the TV - he likes to watch Mike & Mike in the morning to catch up with sports. OK everybody let's get going.

Good morning everyone. It's a cloudy, showery morning here. We had some heavy rain last night but now it's just some on again, off again showers and I think it should clear up a bit later. We've got a couple of errands to take care of this morning and then it's on the road for a day trip out east here on the island. We will stop at two quilt stores and then head to a little town that has some antique stores to browse through. We'll have a late lunch/ early dinner and then head back home.

Good morning! We had fireworks all night here...in the form of thunderstorms. Just about the time I'd get back to sleep another one would roll through. We got some much needed rain so I won't complain too much about being tired today. Our guild's sit-n-sew is this afternoon. I've got 3 more blocks to make for the MSQC "stack and whack" quilt and I hope to use the larger tables to lay out the top while I'm there. Have a great day!

Good morning, friends.

Well, I didn't get to go to AllBrands yesterday.....they were closed. So that's where I heading today. Hoping to find a small piece of fabric for an applique on my current project. I also want to find the Sulky water soluble paper for embroidery and some needle threaders.

Are the holes in needles smaller than they used to be?

We had a quiet day yesterday. DH tried out his new grill for the two of us. I did some straightening in my sewing area and practiced a little embroidery.

I found a super easy recipe for Key Lime Pie about a week ago and have made two already.......yummy! Here's the link.

Monique, you might want to go to a doctor to check out your neck since it is ongoing.

Unfortunately for me, I got sick on Sunday and it just keeps progressing rather than getting better. Today, I don't have much of a voice. I was supposed to talk with someone via Skype today, I think not. At least it isn't sitting in my lungs and bothering my asthma. So, no gym or running for me. Sigh.

Managed to finish another sweetpea pod on the weekend. It turned out pretty well. I have now made 6 of them and they're a fun little project.

Morning all. Extra long weekend for me as Friday was a holiday here and I have Mondays booked off for the month of July. Sadly, it's quiet at work which makes for a very lonnnnng workday.

Busy this week as Liam is in camp learning to be a camp leader so he can work at the Nature Center as a camp counselor. Just one week without school and getting him up in the morning is a bear! Just over two weeks until we leave on vacation and I have a lot to do to prep for it. I tell you having pets is a total pain in the a$$! Dog is going to someone, bird is going to someone else, someone is coming in to look after the cats and clean their litter and someone else to check on the fish. I have to clean the tank tonight, I have 15 hours of typing to get done before the 21st which means staying late at work since I don't have a proper work station at home uhg. And a total house cleaning from top to bottom which has been waiting for quite a while. It won't take that long once I get started, it's just the getting started thing!! Wish me luck!!

Good SOGGY Tuesday morning.
WE GOT RAIN...
It came in with a bang......yiiiikes....lightning was scary, and close. We needed the rain. I just get nervous with all the lightning, especially, after once before....
Lightning, took out our a/c, ( heat and cooling ) unit, phones, and wiring, a few years back......now I turn off and unplug, everything. I hate spending money to replace something, like that, when I could be using that money to get replacement for something I wanted to upgrade.

I hope in the near future, to upgrade all my kitchen appliances, because of my back pain, the new fridgs , having the two doors on top, would be so nice.The new stoves with the grill, is pretty cool too.my dishwasher has been dead for a while but I haven't replaced it cause I want to change colors.
I'm gonna try to get all of my appliances more back friendly, so it doesn't hurt me so bad bending and all. Hopefully a lifted washer and drier too. Maybe I can get one of the package deals, like they run sometimes. ........one of these days. ....lol.

We had a pretty nice weekend. Hope you all did too.
I've got to do some catching up, laundry and straighten up things.
