    Is it Wednesday??

    Hello Folksies!!

This may be a trend - two days in a row - wowie wow wow! Today will be my only day off from work and running around The Hill. I may just go back to bed - after I have my morning skype with the DD.

Yesterday was pleasant enough. After work, the kids and I carried Eli to my Mom's for tea and cake. What a pleasant little visit. While she sees Eli quite frequently, it was his first foray into his Great Granny's house. They are quite comfy in each other's arms

What else shall I do today? Not a whole lot of anything! I may even sit and finish up a COC that someone is in need of. Blessings to each one here and also smiles to all.

Good morning Blondie and all to follow. Looks like it was a nice visit to Granny's house for Eli yesterday.

The rest of the week at work will be busy since I am on vacation next week. So that means getting things all set up and organized for while I'm not there. Tonight after work, a few of us are taking someone out who is leaving on Friday. She is moving to Florida and we are all happy for her but will miss her a bunch. I have worked with her since joining this agency and it will be odd not to have her around.

    Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone.

WELCOME back Blondie. I forgot to add that Great Grandma looks quite content as does Eli.

Well I finally got caught up at work yesterday. It was about 3 before I ever got to sit down.

I spoke with my brother last night. He has picked up two more rows for me and for himself. He is learning the lingo as he goes. He says "I bought stuff that I did not know if you had, sticky something......" Oh fusible interfacing, "That's it" hahahahahahaha

So this morning I check the washing machine and there is water in it again. I may have to call a repair man.

I don't know if you remember when I was bitten on the arm last summer, well, the welt has shown up again this morning. Itchy as heck. If I wasn't working I would have called my doc. The stinger must still be in there, I don't know.

Anyway, have a great friends. Hi ho hi ho its off to work I go.

Hi Everyone....It's supposed to be cooler here today...yay! We need a break.

Blondie, I love seeing Eli with Mom. That's a great picture of them both.

I have a haircut this morning and I will run to the grocery store on the way home just for a couple things. I may even find time to sew this afternoon. '

        Wishing everyone a blessed day....Hugs

Nice to see Great Granny and Eli snuggle at the tea party, babies bring us so much Joy.

Nothing planned for today so it might be a good time to catch up will some bills and paperwork - they are like fabric scraps because you turn away for a few minutes and they multiply.

            Happy Hump Day!
I spent yesterday with my favourite quilting friends on a "FART" (Fabric Acquisition Road Trip) to Montreal. One of my friends bought a Featherweight there and we all had to go "help" her pick it up. While we were there, we stopped at two stores in Laval hoping they were participating in the Row By Row. Unfortunately, they were not, but that didn't stop us from shopping for fabric! Then we drove to Hawkesbury, ON to a couple of lovely little stores that WERE participating in Row by Row and we picked up the free patterns from each of them...and, of course, more fabric and notions. It was a long day (12 1/2 hours on the road), but we had a great time and Judy is thrilled with her new Featherweight.
Today, I get to stay at home and play with some of my new fabric and do some cutting for a couple of new projects.

Blondie - Little Eli is adorable. He looks so content in Great Grandma's arms!
Monique - Hope things are a little quieter today for you at work.
May - I know exactly what you mean about paper....the elves come in during the night and just manufacture paper!
Ginny and Bubby - enjoy your day!

Have a great day all and do something you enjoy.

Good to see you back Blondie! Every morning the first thing I look for is to see if you have posted. You always get my day off to the best start!

Love the picture of your mama and Eli! So heartwarming.

Good morning everyone. Still sunny here and no rain!

Today's a busy one. First, yoga class at 9:30. Then off to the post office to mail three packages (I have been selling stuff on Ebay and a destash site). Then off to pick up my vintage Bernina from the sewing machine mechanic. Then I can finally go to Costco and not have to go tomorrow when it will be super busy due to Friday being Canada Day and everything is closed.

I am also signing myself up for garment sewing classes. This is my bday gift.

While this has nothing at all to do with quilting and sewing, I started a blog and reached out to a running coach this week. Feeling fearless.

                Have a great day everyone.

PS: Blondie, I totally understand your top phrase about coffee. Can't drink that cold stuff personally.

                  Good morning all,

I've had a busy 2 days canning in the kitchen. I don't know why everything ripens at the same time. Poor planning on our part, I guess. We had a bumper crop of blueberries this year. I made pies, canned syrup, froze some, and gave some to neighbors. I think there is still a pie or two left on the bushes. Yesterday, I pickled the cucumbers. I thought I was done with those and my DH came in with another load of them. I brined them last night and will pickle them today. I've also put up several jars of tomato sauce.

Blondie, that's a great picture of baby Eli and his G-Granny.
Monique, Ginny, & Bubby, enjoy your day.
Peggie, have fun with your new fabrics.
May, we have a paper fairy at our house, too.

All who come later - enjoy your day!

We are also expecting cooler weather here, and looking forward to it. The humidity has been a killer. But good way to look at it, I can stay indoors and quilt.

That sounds yummy sea turtle Cindy. It will be soon the pickling season before I know it. We usually make Swwet Garlic Dill pickles, Bread and Butter, sweet beets and I may have to make my fruit/veggie relish. So much more. This year we are low on all.

Hey PeggieP, you get my vote for FART laugh this morning. There is only 1 Quebec shop participating in the arow by Row. It is in Gatineau near the ferry crossing in Mason. Lovely little shop. I got to know Annie, one of the shop owners, thru classes at another class. Suzanne

                            Good morning forum friends,

                            ........... FB_IMG_1465575597963.jpg

Been busy too. Trying to plan and organizing planned projects, isn't a easy task.It sure seemed like a awesome idea, but I have been stumped on a few things, like putting my pattern with project suppose. I have got to get a new copy and printing machine, but I don't know what to get, I want to be able to download patterns too and print them.I'm not to savvy on this type of stuff.......lol.....
any tips ??? Please, do tell.
Organizing magazines, with all the projects, is too, getting me baffled. Would you do these by season, and then what ? Help please. I can't figure out, how to make it easier to find them after I put them on the shelf.....grr.

I have found some cool supplies, and some good deals on fabrics too. Oh dear, I can't stop finding, fabrics, I will need.......lol. I can't decide, which I need, most, first, or worse...... I need to "find" a lot of money so I can get everything, I need.....lol....yes need, I don't just like, I need, because, I'm still in the process of obtaining tools for quilting...... I wish, I had have some passed down to me. My mom had a lot of sewing supplies, for making garments, she also did some needlework..... and crochet..... not me. NOPE......lol. never could get it...

Hopefully everyone has a wonderful day, and plan's for the 4th. We're going to a friends house, down the street, he's cooking brisket on the grill. I think I'll take some sour dough, pull apart, bread. I take the frozen, sour dough rolls, cut them in fourth, let them rise in butter and garlic and parmo.cheese.......I cover the stacked pieces in a peeped, bunt cake pan, after they rise 2-4 hr. Ready to bake, follow instructions on back of the bag for best results. This turns out good. Reminds me of moms homemade bread, monkey bread was my favourite.......
you can do other combos, you like adding cinnamon .......make it your way.

Have a grate day and holiday weekend.
                            Be safe and be Blessed.

                            I MISS MY LIKE BUTTON.....FYI....

"FART" = HILARIOUS!!! I love it!

I'm late to the game today. I was off Monday and sick Tuesday so today's been a bit busy in the office. It's been nice to read about pickling...it's the one thing I have yet to attempt! When I was a kid EVERYONE pickled! Dill, bread and butter, beets, and the jams oh my! I sure miss those days. I'm worried that pickling is going to become a lost art! No one has time for anything anymore which is too bad.

Vacation time is soon approaching and I have so much to do to prepare! Will hopefully get more energy this weekend and try to get some of it done. I have people coming in to look after my cats and my fish tank so have to get my house in order! I've been there just over a year and STILL have boxes that have not been unpacked! Ridiculous isn't it?

Sending love and hugs to all in need! xoxo
