    WOOHOO it's Wednesday

I am on vacation. Today I am driving to Grandma Nan's, with a little side trip to the US. We are having dinner with Phil as he is Kingston on course. Tomorrow is the BIG day. Quilt Show and meeting up with a few forum members too. Friday I head off to Trenton to visit with Phil and family.

I don't know if I shared this with you or not BUT Greg and Ashley got engaged over the weekend. I was a little surprised but hey it's their life right?

So that's it everyone. Chances are I won't be on here tomorrow as we leave early in the morning. Maybe Blondie will be back.

    Have a great day everyone.
Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!

    Monique - have fun.

Woke up in the middle of the night and realized I don't know where the kit is for the quilt I want to make for my granddaughter due in September. This move has really thrown so much off course - but I love it in my new home, state, etc. Today, before we start painting (again) I am going to find the bag (yes, at least it's clear) with the material and pattern for the kit. Will drag my sewing machine out for this project - despite lack of any space yet. This one is very important.

Finally had a rain last night. I only have a couple of veggie plants in pots on the deck, but I know there is nothing like rain water to make them grown. Finally getting hummingbirds to my feeders. Bought the stuff you find in the stores - they did not like that stuff. Finally have all my own ingredients to make my own hummingbird syrup - so easy. I have more hummingbirds now than before. I am so excited. I love to watch these tiny creature.

Here's to a great Wednesday to all.

Have a great time, Monique. I wish I were going with you.

It has been a quiet, but lovely week so far and I have accomplished quite a bit in the sewing room, completed 3 UFOs and working on a couple others that have been around for too long in semi-finished states.

Now that Hump Day is here, I am looking forward to a busy Father's Day weekend. Ribfest starts on Friday night and we are going with our BFFs to enjoy a feast of ribs, then a trip to the Big Scoop for ice cream for dessert...Saturday we will go to see "Finding Dory" with our grandkids and then out for dinner with DD and DSIL. Sunday we will celebrate Father's Day with a bbq in the back yard. I just love this time of year when the gardens are so green and full of blooms. It is hard to stay inside when the weather is as beautiful as it is.

Prayers sent to those in need and get well wishes for those who are under the weather.

      Have a happy day!

Good morning all My hubby finished putting the carpet down, and the room looks wonderfully fresh! Seriously, a coat of paint and a new carpet and oh boy, what a difference We got pretty much all of the extra stuff out of my sewing room, so maybe I can get back in there and make it look like a sewing room again
My older daughter will be coming by tonight for dinner, hubby is ordering chinese - yumm. We'll also have a European layer cake from a favorite grocery store bakery here... another yumm.

Good morning everyone. Beautiful morning here. It's this kind of day that makes me think about retiring --- so I could stay home and work out in the garden, sit and read a bit and have a second cup of tea outside and enjoy the morning sounds of the birds and then head to my sewing room and get creative. It probably won't be like that but I can dream.

Monique, have a wonderful time. Peggie, sounds like great plans for the weekend and Songbird, glad you can get back into your sewing room. Have fun getting it back in order.

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone. Prayers and hugs going out to those that need them.

It seems that we are through Wednesday and here we have a rainy day and with thunder and this time is not normal, but we will do, time is free and does what he wants. Monique seems that this week is being too busy to you but it will happen very well. I´d like to go to the Quilt Show, in my country we just have not enhibitions and I would love to go to those big events, but I´m too far, maybe someday have more affection in my country and can see more precious things. Songbird I also I miss the button I like, because many people could thank his kindness, hope to return soon. Well will continue sewing a little,so command prayers for those who need, smiles and gretings

Glad to hear everyone is so busy or planning to be busy getting things done. Monique extend my Congrats to your DS and his new fiancée and you and Nan have a wonderful time. Trish, 24 tomato plants are a lot. does your Dad can them or just supply everyone with some delicious home grown tomatoes?

It's a lovely day today and I could just sit here and enjoy it but I better get myself moving as there is a big pile here on my desk filled with this week's mail and other paper work I've been avoiding for far too long. Windows are open and birds are singing so at least I have some lovely company while I wade through the mail and other paper work. But first another cup of coffee!

I have to finish getting the summer BoxTop baggies ready to go out to the kids at school today.
Then I must put some time in on the tote bag.
                    First things first though. Coffee!

                    Have a good one!

Trish I hear you. I made the mistake of buying tomatoes for my new MIL. Got the wrong kind, didn't plant them in the right place, now she's getting to many tomatoes. I don't think I could make her happy if I hung her with a new rope. Although there are days I would like to try! Oh, I didn't say that out loud did I?

                        Re: WOOHOO it's Wednesday

Monique, have a blast this week with Nancy, and at the quilt show. Give her a hug from me. On here a little late today. Another doctor appointment this afternoon....this time with a new dermatologist. (was not happy with my other one) I also wanted to have all of my specialist in one place, so that they actually know each other...and it is easier for them to figure out what to do with my 'rare' case. I was going to get a knee walker, but that wasn't working for me, so I opted for a transport chair. It doesn't have the big wheels, so I can't wheel myself, but I can scoot in it, and DGK should not have much trouble getting me around this week end. Can't wait for the fun and festivities, and seeing old friends.
Hugs and blessings to all. Prayers for those in need.

Trish, I'm curious. Do you know the purpose of the shredded paper? Am wondering what it does.

Shredded paper holds moisture near the roots. You can use lint from the dryer also.
