    a wonderful weekend

    Fatzen 5 copie.jpgFatzen 4 copie.jpgdtf Kéistaarten copie.jpg
Ripping, washing and ironing for a whole week, I was looking forward to the BBQ party with some friends this weekend. Guess what they brought along for me? Some more shirts. Now I really have to start at least one of those quilts I have in mind.

While cutting , I had the idea of collecting all the seams for binding my tomatoes, roses and other plants next year. That adds a touch of color to a garden. I'm curious as to what the neighbours will say. Lets wait and see.

Made these 2 cheese cakes to take along. There is none left anymore.

DH and i will make our daily walk now, as it is not raining for the moment.

I saw your pictures and my mouth started watering. I was hoping you had some cheesecake that you could send me some crumbs or a slice of leftover . . . beautiful.

Hey, I love your idea bout saving the seams to use in the garden. In fact, I think that would look much better than old nylon stockings. You may also want to try a braided or crochet'd rug. Or, have you seen some of the things they are doing with the selvage edge from fabric? Or some of those funky zipper flowers? You are on a roll.

YUM - cheesecake! My Aunt always made the best cheesecake - mine surely don't turn out like hers.

            Hi Sandy,
I did use them to weave rugs. We have enough rugs at the moment. I thought some color in the garden would cheer it up.
What about those funky zipper flowers? Are they crocheted or knitted? Haven't heard about them yet. Gonna check the internet. Thanks for sharing the info.
Sorry no leftover from that cheesecake.

Here's the link to one site that shows how to make the zipper flowers - the young girls are all hot into flowers in their hair these days: http://studio5.ksl.com/index.php?nid=61&sid=9665241
