    It's a Monday, be happy

    Good Morning, Ladies
Not much but a usual Monday on tap for today. Sis is back to herself from whatever gave her the reaction.
Hubs started painting one of the bathrooms yesterday and will finish this morning. I love the smell of fresh paint.

Lisa, I don't have any grands yet and the reason I mentioned I was happy about that with my DD is exactly what Lynn replied. When the time is right, my DD will make a splendid Mom.

Cathy, love learning about your goats. Fascinating. I did not realize the milk was so similar to cow milk. With all the stuff you do, it always amazes me you find time for us here at MSQC. Lucky us.

Off to make coffee. Can't believe I've been sitting here reading from yesterday without a cup!

Good morning Blondie and everyone else when you arrive. I also was very interested to read about the goats, we had fresh goats milk for my daughter when she was little as she was lactose intolerant and the goats milk didn't cause her the same problems. My FIL very graciously acquired a milking goat and did all the hard work but we only kept her for three years. The first year she had one kid, the second year she had twins and the third year she had triplets. My FIL said that was enough, lol, we made do with soy milk after that.

Have a great day everyone, hugs for those that can use them, and who can't use a hug now and then.
    Lynn

Good morning to everyone. Well, yesterday had a wonderful time at the BBQ BUT on the way home did I run into a doozy of a storm. Had to slow down, wipers at full tilt and four-ways on. Could not see a thing. By the time I got home, all my plants in the windowsills were all on the floor and the power was off. Could not clean up the mess till this morning. I have some re-potting to do today. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

        Up and at 'em!
I was singing that song even before I read the 'sing with me part'. And, it is a beautiful morning here. Except I can't have my coffee until I go get my blood drawn for my annual blood check. Wouldn't be too bad, but it's the whole way down into Carlisle at the barracks - I should be happy I don't have to pay for it. Just waiting for the 2nd cat to cry to come back in for the morning before I take off for the next few hours. Looks like the heat wave is hitting the East Coast this week. I hope to be back by noon.
Sewing later today. Not sure what I'll get into.
DH left for Georgia yesterday morning with his brother. A quick trip - will be home late Tuesday night. Their father passed away (not a very good man) - do the paperwork and be done with it.
Missing Katie and Odie - very quiet here these days. But, I am getting lots of sewing done with my time off from school.
Well, better scoot! There are places to go and a beautiful day out there to suck it all in!

        Hugs,

Just lurking. Trying to recover from the weekend. When I have both feet firmly planted on the ground and my brain functioning as it should be, I'll be back!!!

              Morning all!
How could I NOT find time for my bestest quilting buddies?!?!?
Blondie, I'm with you on having the grands arrive into a happy family. I wish ours was going to. I am so afraid for the little guy, especially after meeting his extended family at the baby shower on Saturday. Those kids didn't think about anything but themselves when they made the decision to keep the baby. I had so hoped they would give more consideration to an open adoption. But, when you see the baby as a meal ticket/paycheck, I guess that was out of the question. Oh! I am getting angry just thinking about it!

Monique, I'm glad you are safe! Driving in that kind of weather always freaks me out. I am sure the plants will appreciate the new pots and the floor/counter/windowsill will look much better afterwards too!
Trish, I wonder if they have a blood/caffeine test like they do for alcohol. If so, my husband would score off the charts! Drive safe and enjoy that cup when you get done! Happy sewing too!
Lisa, you are sweet. Blondie will make a fabulous Grandma!
Sandy, lurking is allowed. Sometimes I don't have anything I want to say, but still want to see what is going on in your worlds.

As for today, it is misty/drizzly here and not supposed to get above about 70 for the week. My garden is not liking this. I'm going to plant more peas. They are the only thing out there that are having any success. I did get the barn cleaned out yesterday, so I'm moving a bit slower today. I think I'll attempt to make some of those snap bags today. I bought a tape measure at the dollar store, so I didn't kill one of hubby's! I saw them at the LQS and they were cute, but I found an online tutorial for them too. Saved $5-8 on that pattern!
Em and I will be working on writing some letters and numbers. We need to keep working on those things so she'll be all ready for kindergarten. She has most of the letters down, but the numbers are harder. Practice, practice, practice!

Wishing you all a great day whenever you check in!
              Cathy

Re: It's a Monday, be happy

Hi, ladies and gents......got the tile laid on Saturday and I grouted it today. Looks great! Half of the mud room is mostly done! Now to wait and couple of days before I can seal it. Hope to get that massive pile of ironing done and find my sewing room again! Getting back to the real world after a whirlwind of a wedding weekend has not been fun. Getting there.

I'd say! Tile, grout, and laundry! Way to jump back into reality!
