    Sunny Sunday

It looks like our Sandy had a fabulous time on the bus trip! Maybe one day I'll save up enough to make the trip to Hamilton and take it with her!

It's sunny here and I have a few hours to get morning chores done before I have to head out for a long range planning meeting /BBQ. I'd much rather just chill out at home enjoying cool breezes in our back yard.

I am a bit sore from taking down a big hazelnut/filbert tree at Mom's yesterday. My husband and I managed to get it down in about 4 hours with only minor bumps and bruises. Now if Mom will remember to go to the hardware store and get the stump killer, or we'll be back over there dealing with the sucker trees in a few months.

I hope you all have a great day and can enjoy your Sunday!
    Take care of you!

Good afternoon Cathy and all my quilting friends! Hope everyone is having a great day and enjoying their Sunday. I actually got on the treadmill this morning, did some chores, and am now waiting for Mike so we can go grocery shopping. Not my favorite activity - but at least I'm not working. The worst day off is better than the best day at work! Going to get some sewing done on my new QFK quilt - this one is a baby quilt, really sweet fabrics. They must really need quilts - when you order a kit you get it in about a week.

Hoping everyone is well, I'm wondering how Patti's diet is going... Day 1 myself, here

Good morning everyone! Had a fun day yesterday, took a free motion quilting class. Now ladies, that is fun! (Yes, it is hard, but it is fun).

      Hope everyone is feeling better.

Blondie, I saw your post from yesterday about the wild fires. The fires have been as close as 5 miles, but most are at least 40 to 60 miles away. We had a spot of rain the other day. Everyone was celebrating.

Have a wonderful, blessed day! Off to do laundry and sew on a tote.

Quiet Sunday by myself, for now. DH is out for a while. when he gets back we're heading to see DD and SIL for supper and to see the finished nursery.

Sunny day in MO again and HOT!!! The pool is up and although that water is sparkling and inviting, we all know it will be way too cold for a few days! Yard is mowed, flowers planted, pool up.....takes care of outside for a bit. Hope to get those curtains finished today and maybe my BOM last square. Cool in the sewing nook, but not so sunny! Hope everyone has a great day!

A FMQ class sounds wonderful! Right now that is what I'm really interested in learning more about. Do you have any pictures to post of what you did?

                I'm Jealous!!!

Today my knee is killing me. Started hurting late yesterday and couldn't figure out why. Then I remember....I was bound and determined to finish my son's bday fleece quilt. I have hated working with the fleece so much that I just wanted to get it done. So I was down on the floor to trim and pin, etc. and I think that's what bothered my knee. It wasn't so bad when I was on the carpet but as soon as I knelt on the hardwood floor (which was unavoidable) I'd cringe. Sorry, no pictures of the dreaded quilt yet - I forgot. But I still have to tie it so I'll have it out again and will remember to get pics.

Hope everyone has had a great day!

I got a sewing machine for my husband. Good trade, huh!?!

No, I don't have any pictures as we just learned and practiced. I'm going to try to finish a quilt that has been put off and give it a go though.
