    Wednesday - May 25

    Good Morning Ladies

Sorry for my absence yesterday; a full day with Mom in the city. We had to be at the eye specialist at 7:15 a.m. for total check and treatment. Long, long day. She is doing remarkable and even the dr was amazed that her vision has improved so dramatically. She is most blessed. A few more treatments - she still has some hemorraging but it is decreasing.

I know each of us here on this forum are just about numb from the tornadoes last evening and of the past several weeks. I just cannot begin to imagine what these people are going through and it keeps me in humble prayer. Missouri, Texas, OK, Al, and then I still am prayerful for Japan. I haven't heard much on the news recently about their recovery efforts.

Off to get ready for this day. I need to clean a bit and think about dinner. I didn't cook for hubs a few days in the past week. Not that he went hungry, lol. I really need to make a list of everything that I am needing to get done. Generally, I am right on task with everything but for some reason I am feeling a tad bit overwhelmed this morning. Reckon I will use the lesson of how do you eat a steak? One bite at a time.

Blessings and prayers for all my quilty sisters.

    Re: Wednesday - May 25

Good morning Blondie. Well only three more sleeps left until the wedding. I have had the three girls here all week. I get up with the baby every morning. Awww poor me. Love her with all my heart. Things are starting to gear up, just don't know what to do next. Well I will just babysit then.

Absolutely NO time to quilt, not even a little.

My oldest son and his wife arrive tomorrow. It has been almost a year since I have seen him. I am so looking forward to having everyone under the same roof at least for a little while. At least I will get family pictures that I have been wanting for so long.

IT WILL NOT RAIN ON SATURDAY!!! I will hang my rosary on the clothesline! LOL!!

    Have a wonderful day everyone.

Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!

      Re: Wednesday - May 25

Good morning ladies. Blondie it is good to hear that your Mom is doing good.

Monique, enjoy the girls and the baby. The wedding will be beautiful.

I, too, am praying for all those in bad weather areas. I am also saying special prayer for all of our firefighters, emergency people, police officers, those serving in the military. Thank you for all that you are doing.

      God bless and take care.

        Re: Wednesday - May 25

Good Evening all blondie hope your mum is better soon ......Weve had alot of coverage about the tornados inthe usa and its jsut looks so horrfying.....It all seems so unnatural to me have any of you quietly thought to yourselves at all that all these weather events in the usa aren't naturally occuring but could be being artifically created......when you have some spare tme go to google and type in "HAARP" and see what you come up with also look on you tube at vids about it

          Re: Wednesday - May 25

Prayers are going out to all the victims in the tornado areas. We are so blessed in our area. We may get a blizzard now and then but nothing we can't handle. We have had a tornado or two but they are always small and don't do hardly any damage. We have even had earthquakes that no one knows about until they see it on the news. To have such devastation is not known here. I know there is potential of all these things but we seldom get them. We have had a couple of horrible ice storms but still our houses are left standing. It is very humbling. I thank God for not having to face this year in and year out. Give to the Red Cross and other charities that help in these areas. I'm sure they have needs for blood and food, clothes, volunteers etc. We try to help in anyway we can but it still doesn't add up to a hill of beans when it comes to Joplin and Katrina and all the other disaster zones. My prayers are also with our emergency workers.
God bless you all and thanking Him for sparing the rest of us.. Hugs, Jan

            Hi All,

Blondie - glad your mom is doing so well. Keep it going.

My prayers to all those dealing with the horrendous weather. Seems very scary to me.

            Thinking of you all,

I got a sewing machine for my husband. Good trade, huh!?!

              Re: Wednesday - May 25

Blondie - Happy that your Mom is doing well.
Monique - It will NOT rain! Hope you are enjoying your time before the wedding.

Both - keep us up-dated on the happenings.

                Re: Wednesday - May 25

Happy Wed. Glad to hear your Mom is doing better, Blondie. Isn't it difficult living the reversal of roles? Hope you get a chance to have some 'recharge' time. You deserve it!

                  Re: Wednesday - May 25

Blondie, It is good that you are able to make some fun memories with your mom now as well as being there for the slog to the doctor appointments! I hope she keeps up the remarkable healing.
Monique, our anniversary is today! We were married on Memorial Day weekend too. I always think of that Saturday as our anniversary not the 25th! One year my husband came home with flowers mid-week and I asked him "What happened? What did you do?" Needless to say I was a bit embarrassed I had forgotten the actual date! He hasn't let me forget that one. My husband's idea of romance is pretty much non-existent, so I am always suspect of things like flowers, unless of course they are live plants for the garden, then I am just an excuse for him to collect more plants!
I am washing the fabric for the backing of the orange, turquoise, and yellow quilt. I hope to get some work done on that since it is raining today. The call of the outdoors has been too strong to resist the last few days with the sun making occasional appearances. The upside to that is the yard and farm is starting to look much better. I still have some more weeding to do in a few beds, and it is time for the barn to be mucked out, but it looks a lot better than it did after a winter of minimal outdoor efforts.
Well, I need to go get evening chores done, so I can enjoy a margarita with my dinner!
                  Hugs! Cathy
