DH, my best friend and I have been invited to go to a ball, hosted by (among others) my other best friend's husband. I haven't been to one since the last year of senior high school! The great thing is, I went to the last one with the same two girls I'm going to this one with - some 20 yrs later. How awesome is that?!? As for partner, I've upgraded since.
Apparantly taffeta dresses are all the rage now and have been for the last few years. I've seen them on the young students graduating high school. Call me old school, but I prefer the classic dresses! So that's what I got! I went for a fitting today and will pick up the (somewhat altered) dress and hopefully a black lace bolero to go with it in a week or so. DH has rented a tail coat and will be verrrrrry handsome, I'm told.
PS. How can you tell that's me in the pic? Look at the owls.
