    Josefine update 2014-04-05

    Hi

    Josefine have a hard time at the place right know beacuse the other girls that are there are being mean to her.
    Calling her retard and other mean stuff.

    Some girl had run away yesterday and eventually came back high as a stone. She had been screaming and banging at Josefines door and did not stop until around 020 in the night.

    She then started up again in the morning.

    I called the staff to have them talk to Josefine beacuse she (I am sure) must have felt and are feeling very unsecure and scared.

    When I called her now she had locked her self in one of the other rooms so she could be left alone. The other girls were bothering her. The staff came and asked Josefine way she had loocked her self in and when she told them way they said that it was good of her to do so.

    Righ now she is on the lookout for the staff beacuse Josefine thinks that the other girls might have taken her keys to her room.

    I am waiting to hear back from her after she talkes to the staff.


    Gaahhh, I am so conserend. What the heck is going on?

    It sounds like maybe the staff needs to step up their presence in the area for a while. Doesn't seem right that they are missing enough to allow the other girls to gang up on a new one.

        I have just called and talked to a staff person and told her all that I know about what is going on. She said that she would go directly to Josefine and talk to her. And she did not know what to do about the key thing other then it has to be resolved to night so that Josefine could feel safe to night.

          Ok
          I have talked to both Josefine and the staff several times.

          Now Josefine has been moved to a room next to the staffs room and it is only the staff that have the key to that room.
          She had been given some calming medicin and are now resting for the night.

          All that Josefine wants is to come home. but that is not the best option right now.

          On Monday when the other staff is back they will see what they can do about this situation.

          And as Josefine said: It is so typical that this has to happen right now when she has settled in and beginnig to like it at the place.
          There are just these 2 mean girls that has put a target on Josefine.


          My heart just breaks for her.

            Who is running that place? I'd be up there beating on doors myself. Where is the staff when all this beating on Josephines door is going on until 2 in the morning? Isn't there someone you can call?

                The staff is responsible for that mess and for Josefines well being. She is there to be helped not made worse. Please find out the Board of Supervisors or whoever is above the staff for your concerns. There is something very wrong here. Praying for all of you.

                    Is there another facility she can go to? This place seems not controlled very well. So sorry this is happening.

                      So sorry this is happening. I sure doesn't sound like the staff has control of the facility. I would be there banging on my own doors and heads would be rolling. She is there for help, not for things to be made worse. Continued prayers hun.

                        Hopefully this is just a weekend staff issue. Many times these type places have a skeleton crew on during the weekend. Hopefully someone will step up Monday morning and make sure everything is alright and stays that way.

                              So glad they moved her to a different room. At least that indicates they are addressing Josefine's feelings of safety. I just hate that this has happened.
