Sometimes you just need to breath! So I'm taking the rest of this evening and not doin a dang thing. Got my comfys on and pretty much veggin out in front of the tv. Too bad there's not a lot on. I don't think my brains could handle quilting tonight. Have had to think too much the last few days and had to get some anxiety under control this morning. Walking to the office helped. Spent some time with my puggies when I got home and then threw out some grass seed in my front yard. I'm hoping to get some rain on it either tonight or tomorrow. Course, I had to giggle a little at my backyard neighbor. He's a retired gentleman who stays in his shop. He's an expert at refinishing furniture. ANYWAY, yesterday he had taken some tree limbs and yard clippings to our local pile and as he was throwing them on the pile he some how knocked his glasses off. He and another man looked and looked for them and couldn't find them. This was definitely not funny. BUT when he came out of his shop this evening he was wearing a pair of women's glasses. They were purple. He looked so funny I just had to laugh. Bless his heart!! Like I told him...ya gotta do whatcha gotta do. He did look funny though!

Re: Taking the rest of the night off!
Sounds like a good plan. I'm probably looking at doing the same thing as last night, I had to cut out blocks twice for Josefine's quilt. Apparently, my mind was thinking about mini charm packs so I cut all the colored blocks 2 1/2 inches instead of 2. I'm glad I caught it before I sewed the block or even worse mailed the block. My jaw has hurt all day so really not in the mood to do anything.

Sounds like a wonderful plan to me! I just got my machine back yesterday from being in the shop for a cleaning, but was too tired last night to play with it, so I cut the pieces for Josephine's quilt block and then read books that came in from the C&T publishing sale.... Tonight I put together Josephine's quilt block - a little unsewing, trimming, re-sewing and more trimming and I am calling it done!
Had spring break last week and we did some traveling, so no sewing. Did hit a quilt show and 1 quilt shop while we were gone and a bit of online shopping, too....packages have started arriving (M* came Saturday, C&T yesterday, Amazon today).Lisa

A bad day in the sewing room is better than a good day at the office.

Re: Taking the rest of the night off!
I spent the day making Hubby's birthday dinner.
Now I remember why I don't make the chicken enchiladas very often. I can't make a small batch of filling and I like to cook & shred the chicken myself. Ugh. The good news is I have a pan made for Sunday supper with the rest of the family, and one for the freezer. I also have some filling leftover, and once I get more tortillas, I'll have a second.
Tuesday nights are my TV night. I have become addicted to FaceOff and now the Jim Henson Creature Project that follows it. The world had better not call during NCIS unless a family member is bleeding profusely.
Now I am checking in here and heading for bed. I have big plans for tomorrow.

Re: Taking the rest of the night off!
Around 9 every night Joe and I continue watching whatever TV show we have on DVD. We bought a bunch of them back in the states and some over here. He has equipment set up so we can watch either American or British. Right now we've been watching "Castle." We started with season one and are now on season 5. It's so much fun to watch them from the very beginning in sequence all the way through to the current episodes or to the end whichever is the case. We look forward to those couple of hours every night. It's a great way to unwind at the end of the day. Of course there's not much unwinding for me to do since I'm a free bird. Life is good. Joe, on the other hand, works way too much. Even his boss tells him he works too much. That's just the way he is. Not much to be done about it. I guess he is a true workaholic. For the most part he really enjoys his work so that's a good thing. I guess he wouldn't work so hard if he didn't like it.Goodbye Europe! Hello California! Home sweet home.
