    Note to Self!

Yesterday evening I ventured into a hair salon to check price and make an appt. No appt. necessary. Come in the morning. I arrive. What time would I like to have my haircut. Now. Not a good time. Please come back at 110 a.m. On the walk back to the house this is what I saw - These pictures were taken on my street. I can't got over that all the streets are bricks. The last picture is the front of our house. While I'm waiting for 11 to roll around I thought I'd post some pics.

      Hello Rebecca!
Love the pictures - Y'all are blooming so much earlier than we are here in NC. Although our forsythia is just about to bloom and so is our little tulip tree. Wondering why the duplex house has names on it?
You should have a wonderful file of places you have been able to visit and live. Are you close enough to any of our members that live there? I bet if you lived close enough to Klaisen, she would give you a terrific 'do.

I also find it funny that they name their houses. At least I assume that's why there's a name above our door. I'm not sure where Klasien lives. I did manage to get a good cut and just had to walk a short distance to the salon. Afterwards, I walked to the square where they have an open-air market on Tuesdays until 1 p.m. Oh my gosh, Blondie, the cheeses, the flowers, the fresh produce and wonderful baked goods were in abundance along with some stands selling clothing. I had a wonderful time walking through and purchased some delicious produce and six bunches of tulips (6 euros). I can't get over how inexpensive the flowers are. You know me and flowers. I just can't get enough when it comes to soaking them all in. I'll have to take some pictures of the shopping street and the market so you can see what I'm talking about. I'll go to the market next Tuesday and snap some photos.

Glad to hear you are finally getting some warmer weather. I noticed that today Pennsylvania is experiencing more snow. How can that be???? It's the 1st of April for heaven's sake!

I love the old houses! Here in Marietta Ohio we have a lot of old houses on brick streets. Nothing is blooming here yet. Looks like you're in a beautiful area. Be great to explore!

How lovely. If you get the opportunity you would probably like Kukenhoff Gardens, this time of year it is at its zenith. A most gorgeous place.
Congrats on finding someone to do your hair so soon, not an easy task.

Oh, Rebecca! How I wish I could be where you are! I was offered many opportunities through Viking River Cruises to be on a river boat this week taking in the tulips and windmills of the Netherlands and Belgium, and couldn't swing it this year. It is certainly on my bucket list! Beautiful flowering trees and I can just imagine the tulips!

At the World Market here, they have a cookie called Amsterdam cookies, they are delicious and they are in the shape of houses just like the ones in your pictures! I think of Klasien every time I eat them!
