    Taking it easy

Glad to be home after my gall-bladder op - a bit sore and tired and it was a little more complicated then we'd hoped. They also repaired a small umbilical hernia which they found when putting a prob through my belly-button. Sorry, too much detail!

Luckily the surgeon was brilliant still managed to do it all by keyhole - just took a bit longer.

Can't have a shower for a week and have to wear those flattering compression stockings so I may not venture out in public for a few more days. Had a great night's sleep in my own bed (hubby in the spare room so I didn't get bumped about).

He off to the footie this afternoon so I'll catch up on some of my favorite TV programmes and keep my feet up. Quilting is a bit uncomfortable at the moment with my four stab wounds and bloated tummy but I'm sure it won't be long before I'm back at my machine.

Thank you for all your messages and prayers - they made a huge difference

Glad to hear it was able to be done with the probes. Your healing time will be much shorter, but you still had major surgery, so plan on putting your feet up for several days. Dream about the next quilt you want to do or pet some fabric..........

Did they give you the stones? I hear they make gorgeous jewelry beads.

All joking aside, glad you are home. I think the worst part of any surgery is having to stay in the hospital. Continued prayers for a speedy removal of those ugly stockings!!

So good to hear all is ok and you are home. You do need to rest. Had mine done a year ago this month and found out quickly that I was not well enough to be up and about those first couple of days. I only had two weeks out of work and I felt better than normal with that pain gone. In a week you will be feeling terrific. Be good to yourself!

Glad you came through with flying colors. Take it easy & only do what you feel like doing. You have the best excuse for doing nothing if you don't want to. Hahaha

Glad that you are back home. Please continue to rest and take it easy. Even going the easier way, it was still major surgery. I still remember mine and it was over 9 years ago. Bouncing back can take a while.

I'm so glad to hear the surgery went well and you are now home to recuperate. Make sure you follow the doc's orders. You'll heal faster so you can get back to sewing. Did you prep any handwork so you'd have something to work on in front of the TV? Feel lots better soon!

Got some hexies for later and a couple of mat bindings to hem - not yet though. Prefer being lazy and watching some of my fav recorded TV shows - Masterchef, Strictly Come Dancing, Foyles War, CasualtyDownton etc......

My daughter and grandkids popped round with some homemade mini raspberry muffins and a lamb and pumpkin pasta bake for tomorrow.

Glad you are home...sleeping in your one bed... Hospitals are not the best places to get much needed rest. Don't push yourself....
