    Welcome to Wednesday!

Another beautiful day in Western NY. We have had so much rain and so far this week it has been so nice and sunny. My tulips are finally up and so pretty.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Blondie how is Mama doing? Gina sends her love to everyone. She finally got to sleep Monday night in her new apartment and is thrilled with it! Now the unpacking begins. She will be back as soon as she finds her computer and not before she gets the kitchen and bedrooms set up. She said to tell you all hello and sends lots of love to everyone. Abbey loves her new school.
Love and hugs from me too, Jan

    Good Morning Jan
Been trying to keep a minor migraine to a dull roar the past few days and still have probs off and on getting in here. I think Al has it covered but keeping a project like MSQC on task running without hiccups is a huge deal and full time job. I am certain he is tired of reading my recurring emails. Sorry Al!

Jan, Mom is doing very very well. We have an appt next week for her to see the eye person again. She is responding extremely well to the treatments.

How happy I am to read about Gina's move. I know it will be awhile before she gets all unpacked, established but this is sounds so good for our girl! Also very encouraging to read that Abby is happy in her new school.

Off to get a cuppa joe. Been a whirlwind of activity this morning. Being late waking up doesn't help! hehehe Hugs

I think I'll procrastinate a little bit longer with another cup of decaf. Dusting and sewing 9-patch blocks are the agenda for the day. Have a happy Wednesday!!!

            Re: Welcome to Wednesday!

Isn't that little fella in the mug just too cute?!
Good morning everyone! Looks like a beautiful day here and no more complaining from me on the home front. I am truly blessed which noone would know unless you truly knew me. So I am counting my blessings every day now and going from there. I need to put more of God in my life, I just need to reach out and touch base with him more.

So! The sky is a gorgeous blue with a dab of clouds here and there with the birds singing their wonderous songs. The kitties are outside trying their best to catch one, but those little birds are too slick for them! I like to watch the teasing going on.

While down cleaning out clutter in the basement to get ready for the yard sale this weekend (hopefully the rain will decide to go another ones way) - I came across my Pioneer Stereo system I bought in Germany while on active duty. I played it for many years, but ever since we moved in here, it never got hooked up - but moved from one spot to another. So, now it's sitting on the table for me to hook up here upstairs. It puts out a beautiful sound so I may as well play my cassette tapes and records that are just sitting around. A project that will take me a bit to figure out my handwritten notes on how to hook all the wires together since there are 5 separate compartments to the whole system.

I hope everyone has a great day! I'm going to try to be a blessing to someone today - that should make me smile on the inside.

            Hugs,

              Re: Welcome to Wednesday!

              Morning All,

Jan, thanks for the update on Gina. We're looking like a lovely day here in Vermont too.

Blondie, hope you lose that migraine soon. They're no fun.

Trish, isn't is nice to find an old treasured item like your stereo. Do enjoy it.

Today I've got aqua class, work and then home to rummage through my tiny stash to find fabric for this month's guild block. Maybe include a stop at my LQS to get the fab for the border on my SIL's D9P (shared the UFO pic a couple days ago; and thanks for all the advice about border fabrics).

DH is still not allowed back to work so he's gone to camp to putter some more on the bath reno. It sure will be nice to get the water hooked up. I don't mind roughing it for a bit but this is just taking too long.

              Have a great day!
              ;)Nancy

I got a sewing machine for my husband. Good trade, huh!?!

                Re: Welcome to Wednesday!

Good morning all! Another drop dead gorgeous morning here in NJ. We're certainly having a lovely month of May so far. I only work for 4 hours today, so lots of chores around the house to do before and after work, then I can work on my little boy's QFK. Doing a disappearing 9 patch, and the pieces are going together quickly. Love that pattern.

Blondie, so sorry to hear you're battling a migraine! Good luck fighting it off, they really are awful.

Jan, thanks for the update on Gina, moving is such a monumental task, let her know we miss her.

Trish, you're so right about being a blessing to someone - I really do try to be a good part of my customer's day, and it's given me a lot of good moments over the years.

                Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Good morning gang...Going to be a fine day here as well. Trish you are a blessing to us and to have you in our lives. Garages sales...lots of work. Good luck and hope the weater is nice. Tonight I plan on sandwiching my wonky quilt and start the quilting process. Rather intimitated by the whole process but I know once I get started it won't be so bad. I hope! Other than that I have been busy planting flowers, and doing other outside chores. Have a blessed day everyone!

                      Re: Welcome to Wednesday!

                      Hi!
I am glad that Gina & her daughter made the move well. Good luck to her on the unpacking. We still have some boxes that haven't seen daylight in six years! I guess we don't read those books, and haven't needed to see the photo albums either. The boxes with my husbands clothes from high school really could go if I could get him to part with them. He'll never fit into them again! I even offered to make him a t-shirt quilt if there were things in there that were sentimental. That still didn't motivate him to sort through the boxes, so who knows what will.
Blondie: Best wishes on knocking that migraine!
Trish: Remember that we are here for you. We all need to let out our feelings, happy and sad or they can overwhelm us. I do believe that if you were ask, we would all have to admit that we aren't always happy rays of sunshine spilling out into the universe. BUT, we are your friends and we know that more often than not, you are a blessing to your family and friends. So talk with God and to us. We'll be here to listen, comfort, and cheer you and our other quilty friends on.
Enjoy your stereo once you get it hooked up!
Nancy: I admire your dedication to your exercise program! Have fun with your quilt blocks!
Deb: You are making great progress on those quilts! Great job!
Shauna: Glad to see you back! I am about to embark on my first hand quilting project. Are you hand or machine quilting your wonky quilt? I am trying to decide if I want to use the eco-friendly batting that blends cotton and some newfangled corn-based synthetic fiber or the Warm & Natural. I am leaning towards the W&N, but I have it currently staged with the eco-bat. I need to finish piecing the back, so I still have time to change my mind.
Jan: You are just so sweet! I am glad the weather has let up enough for you to enjoy your spring flowers.

I should be working on some stuff for the training session we have coming up on the weekend, but my heart isn't into it. I really don't care if we have cows and pigs available for demonstration on loading them into trailers. I suppose I shall have to do it since that was the task assigned to me. I just don't wanna. Give me my sewing machine, and leave me be!

On a quilty note: I am working on the borders for the Jellystone Park quilt I made with a honey bun of Objects of Desire. Holy bias cuts Batman! That thing stretches every which way! I am going to try to get some photos taken and then loaded to MSQC via my son's laptop in the next few days. I hope that will work, I hope! I'd like to have some new pics in my albums!

Well, you all have a great day no matter what the weather! Check in with you later!
                      Hugs, Cathy

                        Oooh Lisa,
Feeling mischievous at that time of the morning can lead to some interesting things. Hopefully none that require the involvement of either the local or the quilting police!
Have fun, but be safe! You don't want to bung up your new knee!
