Tuesday is always a good day to smile

    Happy Tuesday folksies!
Oh yeah, it's Tuesday. I am already to get 'er done. After some coffee.
Yesterday was a very productive day for me around the old house. Yessirree Bobby! I opened the windows, and cleaned, cleaned cleaned. In between cleaning I would go sit outside and enjoy the feel of sunshine. The truly simple things in life are sometimes the best. As I sat there basking in the precious sunshine, looking at clothes waving in the wind on the line, I enjoyed my coffee and solved the problems of the world. All by myself. What a shame I can't remember one problem or the solution today. It just goes to show that given enough sleep, everything falls into perspective.

Speaking of sleep, I really despise the time change. I have enough trouble with getting in good sleep. I don't care if it is falling back or springing fwd. I think it is STUPID and messes with my head. It takes me a week to stop waking up every hour on the hour. Like I said, it doesn't matter which one you switch up. It isn't like we are the same society we once were when families all over the country had crops to get in, air raid drills, etc. Leave my time alone. It will get dark when it's supposed to and the sun will come up when it's time to shine. Okay, that's me ranting. Done. Fini. Over.

To go back to the top paragraph about simple things? Check out the below remember it doesn't take much to bring a smile. They're free, spontaneous, readily available and oh yeah - makes you remember that even while life is serious stuff, it is worth the while to just chill now and then.

    Sewing mends the soul.

    Good Morning!

You know, the time change doesn't affect me that much, but I still think it is stupid! It does not "save" us one extra minute of daylight. I'm all for doing away with it, myself. I am working all five days (nights) this week, now that is messing me up! I have been taking a day or two off every week, but that was costing too much, so I am working all five days this week - and that is affecting me!

Hope everyone has a Blessed Day!

Good Morning! Happy to hear of your wonderful productive day Blondie! I had the same, but without the sunshine. I hear tell it's on the way though. And THAT makes me happy!

Time change. Aw yes. It's pointless and dumb. There. That's my two bits. In yoga class yesterday there was a lot of this same conversation. We had a lot of "restorative" stretches because everyone was dragging as a result of the time change. That was nice! Best part is, it helps!

Oh my goodness gracious! I picked up my new glasses yesterday, and WOWZERS! I was long long long overdue, I don't like the eye doc. Not sure why. But now he's my best friend! I can't believe how much I was missing, and I cannot wait to SEW!!! I bet I could thread the needle without help now. (yes, it got that bad!) It's going to take me a little time to get used to this. But so far, I like it!

I am supposed to work at the gift shop this afternoon, and then we have a chorale festival for my DGD this evening. It's going to be a busy day. Busy is GOOD!

Hugs/Prayers to all you who want/need. I'm hoping everyone has a wonderful day! Smile and do something fun!

Good morning Blondie. Yep, it is VERY early for me. I am not enjoying this time change either. I have been having a terrible time sleeping, and it does not help me one bit. Not that I live by alarm clocks or anything...it just messes with my head. I was kinda glad I ha to do the early shift baby sitting today. Get the girls up and gone...then me and Gabe til he goes to school at noon. Then DD will be home shortly after they get home from school. Tomorrow starts her vacation...that means vacation for me as well. Hoping to get lots of sewing in. Hugs and blessings to all, prayers for those in need.

Good morning. My wee one wore me out yesterday. But we did have a whole lot of fun. And today is another day to have fun. I think we will go visit my mother-in-law today and another friend of mine.

            Have a good day everyone.

              Good morning...

I hear there is more snow on the way for us. I sure hope it misses, like last time!

Daylight savings.....love it!!! I don't care if it's dark in the morning...I'm just going to work, but that will only last 2 or 3 weeks and then it will be light out again. I like the daylight when I get home. Hate when it gets dark about 1/2 hour after I get home. I also have to go outside to go into my sewing room...so the extra daylight is nice for that.

I have to be the slowest quilt maker in the history of quilt making. I decided I would stay in the house and work on my Irish Chain....got 10 blocks put together and then decided to play Jeopardy with DH, never did get back to the quilt. But I suppose if I do a few each night it will get done. Tonight I want to finish putting a quilt on the frame so I can start the quilting in the next couple of days.

              Blondie...love the video!!!

Have a great day! Prayers and hugs

Good morning! I agree about the time change. I don't like it, especially in the spring. It's supposed to get up to 70 here today then turn cold tomorrow with thunderstorms then possible snow showers. Will it ever end?

                  Morning Everyone,

I wish they would leave the clocks like this. It messes me up every time we switch the time.

Today is a sewing day for me. I'm working on some little pillowcases for my DDs facial table. This is a fun project.

It was a gorgeous day yesterday but we are supposed to get snow again tonight.

                  Have a great day everyone....Barb

                        Morning folks,

We found the house that we would like to turn into our home. Prayers would be appreciated that our application gets in on time to beat out others and gets approved.

Will be on pins and needles as we wait.

Of course woke up with a bad migraine from the stress. UGH And it's a beautiful morning so I'm hoping the meds will do its job.

It's great hearing that so many are having Spring like weather, sort of lifts our spirits to see sunshine more often.

Change in time really doesn't bother me much. Being light longer in the early evening is very helpful when trying to find someone's house for an evening meeting, at least I can see and read the street signs. One thing I hate is having to change the clock in my present car, it is so involved that I left it alone and now with this time change it is the correct time. I refer to my watch to check the time so it really doesn't matter.

Re: Tuesday is always a good day to smile

Poppin in here this beautiful morning!!! We are suppose to have sunshine galore and temps close to 70. I wonder if the boss would let me move my desk outside? Can't wait to get out in it. In the meantime, I'm stuck in this gloomy office. Thought I had jury duty this morning but found out it's NEXT week. I was a whole week ahead of myself!

I've been embroidering on a baby quilt that my friend hinted that I finish. Bless her. She started it when she found out she was going to be a grandma again and the child is almost five years old. So I volunteered. It's mostly cross stitch so it goes fairly quick. I'm trying to figure out how to spruce it up a little. It's a kit of those white, pre-quilted baby covers and the pattern is stamped on. The embroider stitches will show on the back. Does anyone have a suggestion about putting a backing on it to cover this up and because it's pre-quilted, how could I get the layers to stay together? Echo quilt maybe? It's not huge size wise but the embroidery stitching on the back is not very attractive. And, LOL, now that she's almost 5 who knows she may play with it or sleep with it so I would like it to hold up a little. Suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm also cutting circles for a denim quilt. Sunday, my daughter and I gathered the materials that is needed and just had the most awesome time. It was just one of those afternoons with her that I didn't want to end. Of course, we also went to Target, Big Lots, the grocery store and Dairy queen for lunch.

And Blondie, I totally agree with the time change. Get it one way or the other cuz it messes with my head!!

                            Happy Tuesday everyone!!!!

Good Morning!!! Yesterday was beautiful outside. We skipped the sewing (was going to teach the children how to sew a pillow) and went outside all afternoon. The weather was so warm - at 6PM it was still 69 degrees. We went to a couple of parks and to the Lake. Here are a couple of shots of some of the thousands of geese that were there. It was very loud and very neat to see when they would take to the sky. The second photo shows a shoreline which shows how bad our drought was and still is as the water should be all the way to the grass in this area of the lake.

                              IMG_9547.jpg Geese.jpg

Then I stopped in to see a friend who is moving into a house that she use to live in but the house has been empty for five years, there is a lot of work to do but I know that it will be a beautiful house again once she gets done fixing it up. She is an amazing decorator.

This morning started with breakfast in bed. Today is cloudy. It is suppose to be much cooler than yesterday and chance of rain today with a 100% chance of snow tonight. I was hoping for another sunny day but it is at least sunny inside. We are going to start the pillows and I'm going to spend some time working on the blocks for the Irish Chain. I think it could get interesting around here when we get four people quilting and only one sewing machine. We will cross that bridge when they get to be where they can sew on their own. I'm just so excited that they are wanting to sew and quilt.

                              Have a great day everyone
