I don't think I should have to "spring forward" until it is ACTUALLY Spring!!

I always thought it came from farming days so you had more light to work. I looked it up and that might come close. It was also to conserve electric power. Since we don't have it I always get a little confused. lol

I don't like losing the hour of sleep, but I love daylight savings time! It means spring, and summer are hear, or at least near and also the end of the 'sunshine slow downs' on the commute to and from work!

I wish we didn't. It is so stupid in this day and age to keep doing this and messes with everyones internal clock. I would also vote to do away with it.

Yes, thanks a lot. I had no idea it was this weekend. Weeks ago we arranged for DS#1 to pick us up at 9:30am so I gave him a call to remind him also. We have a busy day ahead of us today and we don't want to be an hour behind all day long.

                        Re: DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME

I've sprung forward...unwillingly. It takes me about 2 weeks to adjust. I don't think much electricity is conserved when it's still pitch black dark at 6 or 7 am. DST is not a good thing for people like my DH who try to cram as much work into a day as possible. His day starts at 5:30 am and he's worn out after working 16-17 hours a day on the farm. If we have to have daylight savings time, the powers that be should have left the start/end dates in April and October, IMHO.

You are lucky your stat government is more sensible than California. Our neighbor to the east, Arizona doesn't change either.
Wish my state would just leave it alone too, I don't like it. Each year it takes me longer & longer to adjust. Must be old age creeping up.

I love DST! Wish we could be on it all year long! Love the extra hour of light at the end of the day.
