My heart goes out to Hailey's family and friends. It is hard to understand why, we will probably never know for sure. I lived in Springfield during Junior High School and High School and a couple of other years after that. I remember the city as a friendly safe place. I hope Hailey's family finds something or some way to find comfort. It just isn't normal for a parent to have to bury their child. It is supposed to be the other way around.

May the Owens family someday find peace, and know that there are many people in the world who are saddened by this terrible crime.

What a beautiful tribute to this fallen angel. What a senseless crime. I wish I could have been there for support, but we are keeping our porch light on in her honor. I know I have held my grand daughters closer this week, if that is possible. Prayers being said for her family, that in the midst of this tragedy they can find some comfort knowing that the beast that did this is behind bars, and can't hurt someone else's daughter.

Wow, that gives me chills.

I just can't understand some of the people in our world these days. And there seems to be an "outbreak" of child abductions lately. I can't understand it.

Prayers have been ongoing and will continue. Such a senseless loss. I cannot imagine what her parents are going through.
