sighs............ two days in a row.

Today we had road workers resurfacing the road outside the house.

Archie (3 legs, 23lbs) spent the day hiding behind the toilet, refused to come out for tea.

Boris, ( 14 years old, 34lbs) spent the day totally oblivious to the catastrophic noise sleeping. Woke up for tea

Seamus (need I say more?) spent the day 'helping' the workmen, declined to come in for tea.


I am very tired.

I love your stories.....I am a cat lover ! My mom was given a Siamese Cat when I was four years old for Mother's Day. My dad gave the cat to her....the funny side to this is that my mom didn't like cats,....well until Sampson came into her life. What my mom & dad didn't know was that this cat had Feline Leukemia.....the vet tried to tell my mom that they couldn't save the cat.....and my mom was insistent they were going to. She was told he needed 24/ 7 care, he had to have medication every 4 hours, etc. AND if she could find a healthy cat, that they could transfuse the healthy cat's blood to Sampson, that would be the best thing. My mom refused to do that to a healthy cat.....They fed Sampson raw beef liver, and I don't remember the medications that were given Sampson, but he lived to be 15 yrs old......!!!!
Sampson is the reason I am a cat lover......the entire time he growing up, he slept with me. To get him to come into the house, I would take the box of cat food ( he only ate Friskies dry food ....Ocean flavored ....and one time Friskies went on strike, and my parents had friends from all over the United States looking for boxes of that brand and flavor of food for that crazy cat....) and shake it, to get him to come in the house....He would hear the box, and come running, knowing I would feed him, and then take him to bed. OF course there were nights when he wouldn't come ....and when he finally came in hours later, he acted upset because I didn't take him to bed, my dad would then pick Sampson up, and put him in bed with me ....where the cat would sleep until the next morning.
So, since then, I have had 3 cats....and they have all lived to be 15-18 yrs old. Buffy, is 15 yrs old....and hopefully he will live another 2-3 yrs!
