Tuesday is always a good day to smile

    Hello Folksies!

I see everyone has been productive. Why some have been so productive, they've increased their family size! A very late welcome to the world and forum to our newest addition, Sawyer nee Mini Cooper!
With all the blast of snow last week, I trekked down to Mom's and got snowed/iced in. Ice on top of snow is not a fun thing. I could walk up The Hill under normal circumstances, but not with the still healing toe and I just can't walk on ice. And if you think it is fun to be stuck in that house without a way of getting back up The Hill, think again. Hubs and Middle Son Josh finally got us shoveled out enough for me to come home. Of course, now it is starting to melt. I just heard something about rain this week and I am hoping it will melt the rest of the snow off of the driveways and etc. That snow was sure pretty but what a mess. We wound up with a very impressive 1 inches at our place, other areas around us measuring anywhere from 8 to 11. I never did make snow angels; just that lovely snowlady who is now history. She looks sort of like one of the pillars at Stonehenge.

When I was able to come home yesterday evening, I found that my hubs had done some laundry, cooked but not done dishes - quite unlike him to not clean up after himself - and Gracie was quite happy to see me. Dinah kitty was like, "oh, you're back. Now feed me and you will be rewarded with kitty purrs of sarcasm."

    Be happy today. Smile lots.

Good Tuesday Blondie. Glad you finally made it up the hill even if you did have to do dishes once there - LOL. Your DH sounds a lot like mine....usually always cleans up after himself, but sometimes - oh my - watch out!!!

Looking for a few prayers today. I'm off to the Dermatologist. I have a small mole on my right breast that has changed colors and had a redish ring around.....looks a little inflamed. Doesn't hurt, but it does itch a bit and I feel a sharpness when the water from the shower hits it in a certain way. I've been told that I have wonderful skin, and have never had much more than a skin tag and some of those spackle looking splotches that seem to increase with age. Now this - oh my.
I just had my mamo and got a good report from that, so that's a relief. Just not sure what this could be, and I have to admit it's got me a bit stressed.

My scrapbooking fabric should be making it's appearance in my mail box today - I am so excited. Can't wait to start cutting out the click bags for all my scrapbooking buds for our crop weekend in April.

Well better get some joe in me and get a move on.

    Have a great day everyone.

So nice to see your morning post Blondie. I've missed it. Glad you got back home. When my DD cooks she always leaves a mess and seems to use every pot and pan we own! She fixed an AMAZING roast Sunday night and it didn't bother me to clean up the kitchen. I'm thinking maybe instead of her going to cosmetology school she needed to go to culinary school. She and I did errands yesterday and it was just an awesome day. After we got home and before she left for the week she trimmed my hair. She got it a little, no ALOT, too short. I'm going to have to wear my contacts so I don't look so manly!! Yikes! I didn't make a huge deal about it because she felt bad enough as it was. It'll a grow!

I think I'm becoming a true quilter. Sunday I gave myself a pedicure and I soaked my feet while I was quilting. I'm ready to get this quilt finished as I have other quilt ideas I want to do. It is taking a lot of willpower to finish what I'm working on before starting something else.

I finished Stephen King's "Dr. Sleep" over the weekend and MAN, it was a wild ride. He's such a great storyteller. Any King fans here?

The local weatherman is forecasting mid-50's today and sunny. Amen, Amen, Amen!! I'm ready to see some sunshine.

Long days and pleasant nights good people!

        Good morning....

What a night.....rain, ice, snow, wind. Coming home from work yesterday I was driving through drifts and my car barely making it and the wind was hardly blowing. I am at home this morning....may go in to work later, we'll see.

Well I think I'm going to go cut some squares for my Irish Chain.

Have a wonderful day! Prayers and hugs

I just popped back in and was reading again and saw my original post said one inch. Make that Eleven as in 11 inches of snow. Oy.

Carol, I know you will check out that mole. Don't fret.

Emma, good to see you again, too. I miss this place when I can't get in.

          Blessings!

Good morning! We had rain and wind late yesterday but it's clear now and the sun is coming up. Gonna get in the 50s today and maybe 60s tomorrow. Yippee! I'm so ready for this winter weather to be over. Not sure what I'll do today but I think it will include getting out in the sunshine.

Good Morning all! Blondie so good to see your morning posts, miss them when you can't get here. It is snowing lightly here we are expected 2 to 5 inches. Don't need that after the 2 foot we received last week. Missed 2 days of work last week and 1 the week before. I am so ready for spring. Good news I finished the Feb UFO project my snowman runner. Hope everyone stays safe and warm. Hugs to those that need them. Yesterday we had sunshine and some melt down. Gonna take more then that to rid us of all this though.

                Morning all,
Blondie, glad to see you back! Our weatherman says next week warm weather is coming our way, can't wait! Right now it's snowing out, tiny flakes that look like when you shake up a snow globe.
This past week has been a tough one for me. We had a death in the family, and i've been sick with an upper respiratory infection that has really taken the steam out of me, between the wheezing and coughing I just want to put my head down and sleep but just can't get comfortable. Hopefully the meds will have me clearing up soon.
Well I'm off to grab a cup of coffee and sit and watch the snow for a while.

                  Good Morning, all!

Carol, I'm praying that you will get good news from the doctor today. I know it has to be stressful.

Blondie, I thought that wasn't much snow, but what do I know? I understand it is snowing again in the northeast. Hope everyone stays warm and safe today!

Morning! Tuesday already! I got some laundry folded this morning and am on only my first cup of coffee. I have training today at the hospital for my volunteer job in the gift shop. I'm a little nervous because I've not really "worked" outside my home for a couple years. For some reason, I take things so seriously that it doesn't really help this is volunteer. Ya know?

We've had some wild windy and rainy weather here the last couple days. Seems to have settled down now. Gladly. We haven't lost power yet, but the lights have flickered. I know Winter's not over yet, but we've been SO blessed so far....

Blondie so good to see ya back here. Miss you girlfriend!

Off for a shower before anyone else gets up. Have a wonderful day, Hugs/Prayers all 'round to you if you want or need....

Hi folks! Glad to see you back and back again, Blondie! I was wondering about that 1" of snow keeping you housebound for days, but then I figured " different strokes for different folks"! We have had our first night above freezing last night and today it is supposed to get to 60! Hooray! We've all been waiting for this for a long while!

I'm hoping to get borders on my commission Xs and Os quilt today, and get it on the quilt frame. Want to get this off my plate so I can start a triple Irish Chain for St. patrick's Day.. That ought to be fun to do!

                        Have a gret day!

Re: Tuesday is always a good day to smile

                          Morning,

I'm beginning to feel almost human again. I'm on day 5 of 10 with my meds so I have a way to go. Jeff was off yesterday and we hung around the house. I may go to town later today to pick up a few food items if I can drive on our road. Part of our road to the highway is still solid ice.

One of our apartments was vandalized over the weekend so I will be dealing with that this week. Not sure how this is going to go. An 11 yo boy who lives down the block threw a rock through the patio door trying to get inside.

Blondie, good to have you back with us. I hope the rest of your snow melts off. My MIL in Indiana has 5-6 foot piles of snow on both sides of her driveway where her snow removal guy pushed it. She said it's like driving through an igloo getting her car out of the garage. They haven't had snow like this in several years.

                          Wishing everyone a blessed day....Hugs

Trish, That's one tired little girl, did she wear herself out brushing her dolls hair?

Just about stopped snowing but we have an extra few inches to deal with. DS#1 called last night and said he'd be over for dinner but we may have to postpone - we'll see what the road conditions are like later this afternoon as he lives about an hour from us. If roads are OK this afternoon DH and I will take a run to supermarket as all I have in the freezer is chicken, more chicken and stuffed chicken breasts. Took a look at my list Favorites list for some meal ideas and ended up checking out about 2 dozen soups. I was trying to find a recipe that called for ingredients I have on hand but I seem to be missing one ingredient for each soup. Wanted to try a potato soup but why do they all call for tons of bacon? That's OK for the first serving of the soup but the bacon taste gets pretty strong when the soup is reheated.

PS: Wow - Sun Just Popped out and things road conditions look better all ready.

May, you might try cooking the bacon in the fry pan and then breaking it up and spooning some on top of each serving. I don't think it's necessary to put it in the soup.
