Microsoft surface Pro 2 - HELP!

Yesterday I spent the big bucks and bought one to replace both my iPad and my old laptop because both are on their last legs. After playing with all last evening I'm thinking I might return it. For the price I paid it should do everything I want and bake cookies too. I can't find all the same apps I use on my iPad in the Microsoft Store and I don't want to loose them. Are there other sources for these apps for a windows tablet? Does anyone else have one and have any tips? I have to return it this weekend if I'm going to. HELP!

Also, I really liked the fact that it is actually a computer and was not dependent on a separate computer like the iPad.

You can't get the same apps. I have and iPad my husband has a Surface. If you can't find what you are looking for in the Xbox store, they don't have it.

bummer! There go all my games that I worked so hard to get to the levels I'm at (still way behind many of my friends). Some of them I can still play on Facebook but I won't be able to play them at camp where there is no internet. Need apps for that.

Yup. My mom got a Surface for Christmas to replace her laptop and she was bummed when she couldn't play Candy Crush.

On the bright side, you can watch movies!! And have extra storage!! Being able to do that makes it a little nicer than my iPad Air. And I don't think you have to pay to get Hulu with the Surface.

I dont know if the Surface has the Ilomilo game (my Windows phone does) but that thing is addicting.

There are apps specific for iPad products and vice versa. I know there are several games I can play on my computer that I can not play on my iPad, while there are games only for my iPad but not my laptop....makes me cranky.

Well I'm taking it back today because it stopped working altogether. Won't turn on. So between here and the store I have to decide is I'm getting a new one or just returning it.

Well I returned it and went to my local store, Small Dog Electronics, which is an Apple dealer. Bought a new iPad mini and will limp along with my old slow laptop. I don't use it much anyway. And I wanted to go smaller with my tablet (not bigger like the Surfacewas).
