It's snowing and raining and I'm all alone here in the tree. owl in snow.jpg
Have all my friends found warmer safer places? Hopefully they are all sound asleep while snuggled in their cozy beds under lots of quilts. If so I'm glad for them but will have to settle for a cup of tea for company tonight.

Poor May! All alone in the snow on that bare branch! I fell asleep around 9:30, so I am awake. I cut pieces for a new Irish Chain, I may get up and work on some blocks for a while. You are not alone, May! Weather report from NJ? Snow started yet? Oh, yes, I see it has! Stay safe and warm!

Good morning. All of you affected by this storm, stay safe and warm. I think Blondie must has lost her power.

I was called in to work yesterday afternoon and I work this morning for a couple of hours. The it is off to get groceries. So that is what my day will be.

We are expecting a little snow tomorrow but nothing like what you guys are getting.

Good Morning all,

Blondie said yesterday that they would all be at her Mom's and not able to get on the net for the next day or so. Hope they are able to keep warm, as I hope for all in this mess.

We bought Emmy home from the vet late yesterday. He said he expects a total recovery, but will take a while. She is still very wobbly and weak. DD set up one of her doggie X-pens for her in the dining room (aka current quilting space), so even if I was trying to quilt, I wouldn't be now.

Had a nice afternoon with oldest DS yesterday. He had a job interview in the Orlando area and then one here at 4. When he was in Lakeland, the four o'clock called to postpone, so youngest DD and I took him out to lunch and spent the afternoon with him. He had to leave earlier than he planned because of a huge thunderstorm coming off of the Gulf and crossing the state. It rained the rest of the evening and I went to bed before 9.

Almost 8:30am, 4 hrs. since I first posted of wet snow. Now we are experiencing a heavy snowfall of thick flakes that have completely covered over all the rabbit tracks in our back yard and on the deck. He is living under our backyard shed and seems to relive himself in the far corner of the yard. At least my heavily snow covered back yard is a bit entertaining during this Winter. Wonder if he has a companion and we'll see some little rabbits in the Spring.

Hope we keep our internet connection as it seems to be out quite a few hours each night. Began last week during the night so I thought they were down for repairs, changes, etc. Each night the break was earlier until last night there was no connection around 6pm. Put off calling cable co as I know I would spend much time just on Hold but today I'm going for it.
