The large snow falls make me nostalgic for my children's younger days, too.....although I don't miss the tromped in snow, runny noses, wet coats, hats, and mittens steaming and smelling as they dry.......and the "I got to go potty" just as soon as the last item is put on them as we head out the door!
Oh to be young enough to be in a snow fort again!!
We were older than 4 when the kids on my block would build a big fort on each side of the street and have snowball fights across the street. Inside the fort we would build ourselves a place to sit, cover it with an old grocery box and gather to make plans for our next attack. One time we decided to stay overnight in our forts but our parents vetoed that idea very quickly.

She crawled in there and told me this was her new play house and she was going to sleep there tonight. I told her we would find a popsicle in the morning if she did.
She is adorable and looks like she is really enjoying herself. I think back at how I used to stay out and play in the snow all day. Why is it you don't seem to get cold at that age. Now, it takes everything I have to get from the house to the car cause I'm so cold! Lol
My granddaughter was able to get into the snow for the first time too. Before now, it was too cold for her. image.jpg image.jpg with my daughter image.jpg with my son-in-law image.jpg
Looks like she is having a lot of fun. I'm ready for it to warm up enough for my kiddos to be able to bundle up and go play in the snow - we've got zero temps. Our high today was suppose to be 10 degrees F - not warm enough to go out. Towards the end of the week, it is suppose to warm up.
