    Liver Transplant Update

I am sorry I haven't posted for quite a while on the status of my son and son-in-law on their liver transplant...my son Bruce had nerve damage in his feet during surgery---he has been fitted with braces and is going to therapy now...Andrew, our sil, has a slight hernia under his incision where there was an infection after surgery...both of their liver function tests are done frequently and they are doing great...they will check growth of the livers on both of them this week...the transplant took place on Nov 12th..
and also my dh's arm has finally healed from the cellulitis he had in Oct...he had to have stitches 3 times in his elbow before it finally healed about 2 weeks ago...so that also took 3 months...last year our family spent a lot of time in the hospital and doctor's offices, but we are on the mend now...I am so thankful...God has been good to us...

Glad to hear that everyone is slowly mending. Sometimes the recovery process takes longer, but the end results are so much better than the alternative.

I'm thinking your New Year's resolution might include "No more hospitals!"

Carol, I am so happy that everyone is mending - even thought it has been a slow process with some bumps along the way. Continued prayers for all.
