More bad news........

Looks like it is never ending.......

My dad called this morning telling me they just came home from the hospital.....
He fell this morning in the livingroom, his shoe got caught in the carpet, new shoes with a little profil on high carpet,
so he fell right on his face.......screaming for my mom.
His nose was bleading, and his arm was hurting really bad, his arm landed on the corner of the coffeetable.
They went to the hospital and x-rays, and he broke his upper arm real bad......on more than one spot, he is in a lot of pain

I have to teach class tonight, but taking my phone and be on call if he wants to get back to the doctor or hospital, he has so much pain, I hate to see him like this.
He was up early bacause we had planned he should make me a permanent designwall today.........

I feel so bad for him, my big friend my dad he has so much pain and can hardly walk even since it is his arm he made a fall from standing right on his face,......he is a tall man.......

Last night I did not sleep at all after Jan not getting the job, I prayed and cried all night, this morning my dad his phonecall........it has not been a great year so far......

Please think a little about my dad, he needs it right now.

Last week I had so much energy after my plan on making memoryquilts took of, now all the energy is gone in two days.....
Next post is more happy I hope.


Thanks for reading the whole post, again it is way to long and has nothing to do with quilting......

Ugh, poor dad! I'm real familiar with falling on my face like that, but thankfully I've never hit any furniture on the way down. Hopefully the pain will settle down soon for him - it's usually bad for the first 24 hours then it lets up.

Ah hun. I feel so bad for you. Like they say, when it rains it pours. You gotta remember though, there is a rainbow when the sun finally shines. Still praying for you and Jan. I will add dad in there.

So sorry to hear about your dad's fall! I hope he can get to feeling better soon.

I was at the orchestra hall last year and a woman walked in and tripped on the carpet. She fell directly on her face. I saw it happen, it was like I was watching something happen in slow motion, I couldn't get to her quick enough to stop her fall. She was hurt pretty badly. So I can just envision how this happened to your dad.

I hope and pray things will get better for you and your family.

You certainly have had a difficult time this year. Some days we wonder how can I deal with all of this , how can I get through this and for me I simply say God help me, show me. And we do get through these certain days when nothing seems to go right . It is good you have a good cry , you are entitled. Wishing for things to turn around for you and tomorrow is a better day for you.

Your year is certainly off to a bad start. I know it is easy for me to say stay strong but it is definitely coming from the heart along with many prayers for you, Jan and your dad. You have to stay strong and know that a lot of people care. God bless.

I'm joining all the prayers. And although I know that Scripture is much more helpful, for now I'm just going to sing this little song for you. "The sun will come out tomorrow, butcha gotta hang on til tomorrow. Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you tomorrow, you're only a day awaaaay." Hope that gave you a little smile til all the prayers kick in.
