Not good news.....

Jan just got a call.......he did not get the job.....

I am sad right now and we don't know what to do next.......
Thanks for your support during this job hunt, we hope he finds something else soon....time is running out
This was the job he had 3 intervieuws for.......reason he did not get it: to old.....(54) well he was 54 when they met him......so unfair, we had such high hopes......

So very sorry to hear this news. I know what you are going through. My hubby was out of work for 2 years before he got his current job. Talk about pulling in the purse strings. Have faith it will all work out it did for us. We still have a long haul back to right things after that long with no real income but one day at a time, stay positive.

That is sad news but a least they called him with it, many times they don't bother to let the candidates know they weren't chosen. Know it is hard to do but you two need to keep the faith and we here will keep the prayers coming for some Good Luck knocking on your door soon.

If age really is the reason, they are just plain dumb. A person in his 50s has many productive, useful years ahead, is usually much more reliable than a kid out of college, has much more experience, etc. I think that is just an excuse they use. They are the losers. Hang in there. I know it is tough. We, too, have had to face some age discrimination and unemployment. Someone will recognize his skills and dependability. Keep the faith!!

Age is what gives us our experience and expertise. I am so sorry to hear he did not get this position. I am sure he would have been an awesome addition to their team. I send blessings your way for that next opportunity to show up quickly.
