My SIL has the same name as me . We were both Ann Gilbert until I married. Any way Ann is Jesse's grandma and she posted this for the family.

This is the final version of Jesse's obituary:
Jesse T. Heikkila of Middleborough, age 7, passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his parents at Children’s Hospital Boston after a fearless five year battle with Neurbolastoma on January 30th, 2014. Beloved son of Jeffrey T. Heikkila and Suzanne (Gilbert) Heikkila. Devoted brother of Colton J. Heikkila. Dear grandson of Mr. & Mrs. Leonard Heikkila & Mr. & Mrs. William Gilbert of Brockton, Massachusetts. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jesse was born in Brockton, Massachusetts on March 22nd, 2006. He attended the Henry B. Burkland School in Middleboro. Jesse loved his home where he would build Legos, play video games and swim in his pool. He also enjoyed dressing in costumes and would pretend to be Batman or a Jedi Knight. It was Jesse’s dream to be a Police Officer one day to help catch all the bad guys. He adored his dogs; and joins his Doberman Vito and Yorkshire Terrier Vinny in heaven.
Knowing Jesse was a gift; he had an incredible spirit with an indomitable will. He had such empathy for others despite his own sickness. Because of Jesse; many people found faith and began to pray once again for his miracle.
The Heikkila Family would like to thank the team of doctors and nurses who became our second family during our journey. We would like to also thank the Middleboro and Brockton communities for the constant support and prayers.
