I have a gas fired fireplace that has been on constantly these cold and frigid days, nice to snuggle on couch under a quilt and relax reading or watching TV. Downside is a bigger gas bill but considering the alternative I'm happy the way things are right now.
Right now, I would be glad to have snow and lots of it. A snow storm is suppose to be moving in and I will be very thankful for snow because the people to the south of us are looking at getting ice. I will take snow any day over ice.
We have a gas fireplace and love it! No wood, no dirt, no bugs and it warms the room better than a traditional wood fireplace. However, with that said - I am praying for rain, not snow, although we need snow in the mountains for water this coming year. I will take all your rain and snow gladly!!!
Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.

I am soooo sick of winter. Trying to convince my DH to go SOUTH for the winters......but he doesn't want to. I sure would love to spend from Oct to April in the south.....somewhere warm !

I'm with you. I have 4.5 years to retirement. I hope I can make it that long.
