    Feeling down...

    Well I am coming here for hopefully some positive reinforcement!

    My cousin who I am super close to and began teaching her to quilt 1 year ago has fallen ill. She is only 33 and was diagnosed with MS when she was 26. Since she was diagnosed she has been taking a shot daily and has been fine. She was admitted to the hospital on Friday. Double vision, cannot walk or talk and even her texting does not make sense. I cannot believe this but they sent her home yesterday awaiting an appt with her MS Physician in Boston whom is on vacation She has to go to Urgent Care daily to have a Steroid Shot until Wednesday. Up til now there has been no improvement.

    My heart hurts so bad for her...what is going to happen to my little quilting buddy? Please if you can share something positive. I don't think I can handle anything negative right now.

      I'm so sorry she is having difficulties. She is so fortunate to have a friend and relative like you to love and care for her. Will pray for both of you and don't forget to take care of yourself.

        Prayers going out.

        I have a friend with MS and it took a while to get his meds right. He's good now as long as he doesn't get over heated. Hot weather is not his friend.

          Oh, I don't blame you for being so concerned for your dear cousin and quilting student Laura. I'm saying a prayer for her recovery from this MS episode. I have a friend who has MS for many years and there are so many new treatments available to keep them living a 'normal' lifestyle. In fact she is in a group testing a new treatment and so far the results are very encouraging.

            Prayers going out for Laura. A very good friend of mine has been dealing with MS for almost 30 years now, she has times like these that Laura is going through and then things get better and back to "normal". Hope things improve for her soon.

              I'm so sorry to hear this news. I'll certainly add Laura to my prayer list and you, too. I will pray for healing and peace, the peace that only God is able to give during such hard times. Rest in our prayers. Many will be sent up for you and Laura from this forum. I'm sure of it.

                    I am so sorry to hear about your cousin. I have a friend whose mom was diagnosed at 38....and has lived for 35 yrs....( she's in her 70's now. ) I know what she went thru......
                    I think that the reason why she was discharged from the hospital was due to her insurance......most likely....how sad.

                        I have a friend who has MS and it seems like when she has an episode , that after they get the treatment to get her over it, she comes out better then before the episode. Prays to you cousin. I know they are learning more about MS every day.

                          Prayers being sent up for Laura and you as well Fannie. I have a cousin with MS, and it is hard.

                          I know something positive. I am positive I am tired and looking forward to a day without the kids tomorrow. Positive I will get my Puppy Love quilt finished tomorrow. ( top is done, need to sandwich and quilt), I am positive I will also get a minimum of 4 pillow cases made.
