    is this handmade?

My BFF saw these quilts on HOUZZ and asked me what kind of "quilting" this was. I find lay-people often interchange the words comforter for Quilt. This looks like a mass-made comforter to me rather than a quilt. What do you think?

Anyone ever seen this or know where it could be found?

Honestly the majority of it looks like one large, loud piece of fabric, not something that has been pieced. I'd say it's either a comforter or bedspread.

      I - is it INSPIRING?
      N - is it NECESSARY?
      K - is it KIND?

Reading the comments, a reader thought it was from Anthropologie. That looks right. Probably a duvet cover?

I'm with Karen on this one.
It may be a "whole cloth" type cover - large piece of fabric that has been stitched around the big shapes. I've seen some that have that as the top and then a light backing and make it a pocket and use it as a duvet cover. Then it looks quilted, but you still get the comforter bulk.

It looks like whole cloth printed. I would think machine made comforter. Striking fabric in this room.
