    It's Monday!

I can't believe it is Monday. Where did the time go? I did not get to my sewing room at all yesterday, poops.

Today may very well be an interesting day. Hubby is taking his brother to the city for an eye appointment, so I am waiting to see if my sister-in-law is going as well. That means that I am going too if she does. I have exercise class too this morning so I may not make it there either.

I work from Wednesday to Saturday at another post office. This is the little one in the church which means I will have lots of quilting time. I need to organize which projects I will take with me. I know, it's a hard job, but someone needs to do it. LOL!!

I did get called today but I declined as it was only two hours of work.

Have a great day everyone in whatever you have planned.

Seems like the polar vortex is back although not as cold as it was.
Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!

Good morning everyone. What a busy weekend. It took me 3 hours to drain and scrub the scale out of the hot tub and then refill it. Boy was I exhausted. I did a lot of ironing and cleaning over the weekend also.

DH got home from his gun show last night. He didn't do very well but not to bad.

We are going to West Plains today. Which will be fun. We will be going to a Chinese Buffet to eat..

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
      Hugs and prayers to all.

        Good morning....

I actually had a productive week-end, sewing that is. I finished piecing the top of a quilt, just needs borders and quilted, I pieced the top of a baby quilt..also needs borders and I made a baby quilt from start to finish.

Tonight I plan to clean off the quilting frame and get the backing and batting on it for my Maple Leaf Log Cabin quilt (providing I have a king size batting). If not, I'll find another quilt to put on there so I can get those UFO's out of the way.

We're supposed to get some snow tonight and some of the people in office seem antsy....I only saw an inch or two predicted, maybe I'll look again.

Need to get busy....have a wonderful day!!! Prayers and hugs.

I am chomping at the bit to get into my sewing room...haven't sewn since last Thursday. Spent the weekend doing house projects, which included installing doors on the 2 closets in my sewing room. I was GLAD to get that done, staring at those messy closets were not helping my creativity at all. Going to show 2 houses to a client this morning and then its back home to work on a third of 12 scrap jar stars, hoping to get a quilt done from those soon. Gotta go make some $$ to support my habit! Happy Monday!

            Re: It's Monday!

Good late morning all!! I slept in this morning until 8:30 and have been visiting with my kids this morning who are out if school today. Can't make a mother any happier than spending time with her little chickadees!!

Today I start my year of gratitude, I am going to try...key word try...to consciously state every day something I am thankful for. Sometimes I get caught up in all the negatives of life and sadly let life pass me by. This year I am going to try to be more gratuitous! So here goes...

Today I turn 50, lol 25 years ago that seemed so old.....on the other side of that fence today! Lol dang that's young!! I am grateful for turning 50!! When I got up this morning and before I had my first cuppa coffee I had my DD standing in front of me...dancing singing happy birthday mom...you're 50! You're 50! You're 50! Lol...I am grateful to have a daughter to stand in front of me and dance and sing! My DS was much less showy of his happy birthday and just wished me a gentle happy birthday....I am grateful for my sweet son!

Yesterday I spent the day with my momma and daughter perusing a local antique flea market. We had a wonderful day and enjoyed a lunch at the tearoom. Dd really isn't in to antiquing but was quite the trooper and did find 3 books to buy. I am grateful for my mother. When I was 6 years old my birth mother passed away. My dad remarried a year later to a woman who took on his 7 rowdy butt kids. She is one of the best things that happened to me in my life...she loves me as if I were of her flesh and would hang the moon for me! God was certainly looking out for us when he brought her into our lives. My dad has been gone almost 19 years now. For a gift she gave me a diamond and sapphire ring that my dad had given her. Sweet wonderful lady!

Well...now that's some stuff to be grateful for don't ya think? I hope everyone has a great day!!

Good afternoon. Busy day on Saturday and rested on Sunday. Today I am hoping to get the squares finished with the five and dime ruler. Not sure if I will cut them today or another time. I'm looking forward to Friday as I have my first class on how to use my machine. I've been having fun just sewing as it is so quiet compared to my old one.
