    Friday.

    Happy Friday Folksies!
Yes, it's another Friday right here in paradise. We are in the middle of winter and in the middle of January. I was in the middle of a wonderful dream until hubs decided to wake me up. I am the kind of person that once I am awake, I have great difficulty getting back to sleep. It's a good thing he is going to work in a minute; I might would have to smack him into the middle of next week. All of this middle-ness has songs going through my head - Like Steelers Wheel - Stuck in the middle with you and Huey Lewis and the News - Happy to Stuck with you. Ancient songs that have a good beat and I can dance to them, so I'll give them a 10, Dick.

What are your plans for the weekend? Hubby has next M-W off for MLK birthday and then two teacher workdays. Geesh, why not take the other two days off. Nothing will get done in those two days. I am looking for happy reasons to have him home for the next 5 days. I have decided to wait and see since I am (a) not awake enough to think of anything that has reason in it (b) and I have not finished one cuppa yet.

Today is my DD Sarah's birthday. What a milestone in any life, but when it is your baby that reaches that milestone, it is time to sit and do some serious reflection. Such as, thank goodness I stopped having kids after her. Yes, I did say that. I don't think I could have handled two girls after having two boys. Sarah was born strong willed and of my three children, is the most strong willed, pig headed in the bunch. She was the hardest to potty train, the loudest mouth - whether laughing or crying, she could be heard loud and clear in any room. She also had the sweetest disposition, was my constant shadow and best little cleaner around. Sarah is still the most strong willed, pig headed gal and she still has infinite sweetness. When she laughs, which is frequently, it isn't as loud as when she was a kiddo, yet she has the most contagious giggle.

Happy Friday Folksies! Have a wonderful weekend! Sew to your hearts content. See you Monday.

Happy Friday Blondie and all who follow.

It's been a rough week with lots of stress. Sew - I just invited the Hubs to go to the movie this afternoon to see Saving Mr Banks.
Gonna do a little cleaning out this morning and finish up some choirs, then it's off on our little date - I can't wait.

Also to lighten my mood a bit - I just ordered the Olfa 17" rotating mat from Amazon. Can't wait to get that baby!!!!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend....to quote Blondie "Smile"

      Hello Everybody,
I am planning on taking my sewing machine to the LQS to get an estimate on fixing it. I'm afraid it is gonna be a bit pricey I wish I could just trade it in on an Elisio Gold (however you spell that) This is my best machine and I am still sick over it. I will know Saturday. We have a 3 day weekend and besides the every weekend house chores I will get started on my Valentine swap gifty. The deadline to sign up is the 19th so ladies and gents go on over and sign up
Everybody have a great day and wonderful weekend.

        Re: Friday.

I'm staying warm and working on a Dresden ... just getting the first 2 pieces sewn together. Blondie's MIDDLE seems to sum up right where I find myself..
        1. Middle of the insulation installation.. to be finished on Tues. (This has taken forever... 2 weeks and counting. )
        2. Middle of another project.. after finishing the Quilt, "Patches in Time".
        3. Middle of cleaning out the refrigerator.. The plan is "make" a big stock pot and freezing it for soups and gravies. I don't throw away the stalks of broccoli, cauliflower and outer leaves of cabbage. If other fresh vegetables are getting old, I throw them in the pot, too.
        4. Middle of meal planning for next week.... which means a new grocery list.

Sometimes Fridays are the longest days.. Just stayin warm and enjoying the process of getting past it all.

          Good Morning,

We're in the 'middle' of getting ready to leave for Springfield for my endodontist appointment. We got snow last night but it doesn't look too bad out there. The Girls are still sleeping and boy will they be surprised to see more of the white stuff.

I may be offline for a day or so. Jeff is off today through Monday for MLK. We have no real plans yet, but I know we need to work in Cuba.

Have a great Friday and weekend everyone...Hugs, Barb

            Happy Birthday to Sarah!

Back to work on the house today. Serious slowdown yesterday. DD car broke down - had to rescue her. Went to HD to get flooring and couldn't get waited on. Had to leave because inspector was coming. Went to get paint and they mixed it wrong. Took it back. Still wrong. Handyman didn't show and didn't call (unusual for him). So, all in all, a very non-productive day other than DD did get one coat of pain in the dining room.

And then, I go back to work tonight without near as much accomplished as I had hoped. Sigh.

Hope everyone has a productive and Blessed day!

Good morning all! I'm up way too early this morning. Thought I'd stop in and read a bit and then maybe catch another hour of sleep.
Today, I have a little bit of cleaning to do and then hopefully head to the sewing room. I have a couple of orders that I need to get working on. Not much else going on. Hubby finished his three days off so he'll be back to work tonight which gives me all kinds of time for sewing.
Well, off to read a bit.
Blondie, wish Sarah a Happy Birthday!
Carol, enjoy your date with hubby.
Rhonda, I missed what is wrong with your machine, but hope it can be fixed.
Judy, good luck with getting out of the "middle" of everything, and
Barb, good luck at your appointment today.
Hello to everyone else and hope everyone has a wonderful day and for those of you that have a long weekend, Enjoy!

Morning!! Up and out early this morning....have the people off work today and have to pick up the slack! When can I retire....I go and look at my 401k often to dream....

Worked on my embroidery machine last night. Still having some challenges....but with the help of many here I am sure I will overcome. I am actually producing results that look like the pictures now!

Barb, be careful on your drive over! I am at the Steak 'n Shake at battlefield and 65 if you are on that side of town. No snow here but it's cold and windy! Best wishes at the dentist! Blonde, enjoy your weekend! Judy..can you make my meal plan too? Carol enjoy the picture show!!

Good morning! I'm in the middle of my first cup of coffee and already looking forward to the next cup. It snowed some last night. We'd planned a "meet in the middle" lunch in Lexington with DS on Sunday, but there's more snow coming Saturday night so that will probably be rescheduled. I'd rather know he's at home safe than traveling on possible slick roads. I was up late last night and early thing morning, a nap might be a good thing today. Happy Friday!

                      Happy Friday!

Wife is off today, Monday, and works from home Tuesday. I guess I'll have to draw her a map so she'll remember how to get to work next Wednesday!

I on the other hand am hard at work this morning. I came in early to put the finishing touches on the handout and curriculum for the "Grow Your Own Baby Food" class I am teaching tomorrow. Nothing like waiting until the last minute I suppose.

Today is (like every day lately) very baby-centric. I'm leaving work about lunch time to go register little man for daycare. So. Much. Money. but neither of us can afford to quit our jobs and I do think the socialization is good for kids. After that we have an OB visit for our 34 week checkup. After that I will be making some baby food to take with me to the class.

I hope everyone has a nice Friday!

Good morning and it is another cold one. It is 12 here and feels like -2. More snow on the way this week end.
Not much planned for today but Sunday I have a 1st birthday party to go to for my youngest great grand son. He was one on the 13th but waiting for the kids to come to town so we can have his party.
Not much in the sewing mood but I go through those times where I am sewing all the time then I get burned out for a few weeks. I think it may be a senior thing.
Hope everyone has a great week end . Stay safe and warm Gods Blessing to all.

Hi folksies! I was lying in bed and all of a sudden the doorbell started ri ging incessantly, my grandkids arrived! I'm taking them to school today, which I knew, but I thought it was 5:45 not 6:45! These old eyes without glasses just didn't see the clock right.

The Friendly Quilt group is trying BOMs, and we are all challenged by the first block! I tried three times, and got one decent one out of it. I did get some lovely patriotic fabrics to work on these. I want to complete some more blocks for the forum QOV that we started last October. Hope to get some more acceptable looking blocks made to finish it out.

It's cold and a little bit snowy here, but we'll power on as long as we have heat and the snow isn't piled up too deep! Have a great day!
