    Thursday.....

    Morning all! Thursday.......usually my day off but due to things at work...not this one.....I have a hard time not having my Thursday off...it messes with my rhythm for the whole week....that said there are 4 days off in my week next week! Maybe I will get my groove back!!

    Not a lot accomplished yesterday...hoping for a more productive evening tonight!

    Yes, it is Thursday and I'm finally getting myself back into my old routine. Didn't think a few days flying to CA for DGD's wedding would take so much out of me but it did. Plane trips was very good, got seats in Economy Plus that have extra leg room and also had wheelchair rides at the airports. It was the running around to rehearsal dinner, wedding day and all the activities and sleeping on couches because the hotel bed was too high for me to get into. What is it with hotels/motels? They all are replacing their beds with high rise mattresses, I mean they are about 3 feet from the ground. I have a pretty high colonial bed at home and no problem getting in and out of it but the hotel ones are a big chore. Add the fact that I get up to potty a few times during the night so I hardly get any sleep because I wear myself out climbing into bed. Will have to keep my little folding step stool in my luggage from now on. Ah, the curse of short legs and advancing arthritis!

    Got to get my fridge stocked today, just some lonely eggs sitting there right now. I do have enough coffee and bread for toast so I'll make it this morning. OK everybody, let's get going on this cold and rainy day.

      Thanks for starting our thread, Mary. May, glad you had a good trip. I know what you mean about high hotel beds. I don't have trouble with them but if you ever rolled off the bed you could break your neck.

      Tomorrow is my dental appointment in Springfield, so today I want to get the house in shape and catch up the laundry. It's going to be a cold dry day. We still have patches of snow and ice, but not enough of either to be a problem.

      The Girls are sleeping on my feet as I type this. They will go along with us tomorrow for the ride. They are both good little travelers. We will be gone way to long to leave them alone and we don't like to board them. They get mad when we do that and act up when they get home.

      I'm gearing up to make a Falling Charms quilt from Vin du Jour. I just need to cut my strips and I can get started.

        Happy Thursday! Gotta go to the office for 10, but not before tackling a tutorial that I posted last night. The scrap jar star is calling me. I absolutely love the baby quilt that she made on her blog. I must make one this morning.....then 2, then probably 3. Then where has the day gone! LOL! Stay warm, we're having a "mini polar vortex" here in Louisiana, 26 degrees this morning. I know that sounds like a heatwave for some of you up north. Now I know why I met so many "snowbirds" this time of year in the campgrounds of the south ......I would be a snowbird too! Go have a great day!

          My Thursdays are ending up being dental appt Thursdays! Three in a row now for a root canal. Looks like its dental work year; our plan this year is generous and DH is afraid next year it will go on the chopping block, so, yay... Face is numb. It snowed here for a good 25 minutes overnight...
          Heading to the botanical gardens to see some wintery foliage... have a great day!

            Hi Folksies
            It's been a long long day and it isn't over yet. Sorry I didn't get in this morning. The good thing about today was we got to see lots of sunshine, so much sun that it was difficult to tell from the inside how cold it was on the outside! We had some minor flurries last night, nothing to brag about and much less to complain about.

              You sound tired Blondie. Hope you can get some rest tonight. We got 2 more inches of snow and I am getting a bit tired of this lousy winter. I am so ready for spring.

                Oh yea!!!! Blondie in the evening.... I think that's a first!!! We just got thru our supper,,, I had DH go and get us Whopper's at BK... bad aren't I,, but "heck" a gal doesn't have to cook EVERY night does she???? I finished all the blocks for the Barbara's Antique quilt.. gonna bring them next Tuesday to group and have them help in on the design wall... (they love getting all anal about the placement)... put a quilt on the frame and am ready to sit tonight and continue with the granny squares... 5rows down, 5 to go!
