After rushing to finish a lot of fun projects for Christmas gifts, I was already setting goals for myself for my 2014. I made a long list of quilts and new projects I want to try to make this year.
I am a list maker, a goal setter, then I make more lists.
I am funny like that and hubby laughs at me, AND he will find my list and add funny things for me to do like:
'change paper on monkey cage' 'buy hubby a really big amazon gift card'
Personally, I avoid drama. I no longer work in an office, I work at home. I communicate on line all day at work with my Manager and my team mates. We are able to kick back and joke sometimes, but we always remain professional. We always are trying to help one another, pick each other up. If we need to critic each other, we are positive but honest to make sure we help each other to be better. Kind of like teachers to each other.
It is a great atmosphere. We don't have anyone trying to pick one another off, trying to put anyone down, trying to boost themself by taking someone else down.
So to get to the point. I hope some people set some personal goals and some personal on-line goals for themselves to keep themself occupied and away from the negative posts I see on here.
Remember that your on-line persona should have integrity and character. Help the newer quilters, help folks with ideas, and be friendly.
If you are asking yourself why I wrote this? Because I was so excited to check the forum after missing a few weeks. I couldn't wait to see my favorites.. 'Show and tell' and 'new members'. I love seeing the beautiful projects on here and to see where everyone is from. But instead I saw some nasty posts. I was so disappointed. So many people have posted "just grow up", and that doesn't work. So I thought maybe something inspirational.. And maybe to some people, something funny.
To end.. I can mark this off of one of my lists. Lol.
