    Saturday Morning Drive by Hi's

Late sitting down to post a good morning; I got the daily deal and a few more good looking charm packs to go along with previous orders. How time passes while I shop.

Gotta get my boogie shoes on to make it to work on time. Yesterday was killer long and today will be too. Still trying to make up from when I was sick.
Be back later, girlies. Big hugs to all; hope everyone will be having as pretty a day as we are supposed to have!

Good Morning, EVERYONE!! Guess what? It's National Quilting Day (That should be INTERNATIONAL Quilting Day). Anyway, DH is gone for the weekend so guess what I'm going to do? Maybe I can get my group swap blocks finished and then start on my BOM for the local guild . . . and put the borders on Zoe's quilt . . . and resist trying out the first block for Rita's quilt . . . and maybe . . .

I gotta hit the machine!! Maybe I'll have pictures later.

Happy Saturday National and International Quilting Friends!
Little cooler here but beautiful blue sky so I am happy! My DD is running in an Irish Jig 5K in Michigan this am and I am hoping she is competing well. Not that she expects to win, only hopes to finish! Anyway, I am thinking of her this morning.
Got the news yesterday that my store is closing, most likely by April 1st. Means I only have about 3 more weeks of work until my official "Quilting Vacation" starts. I really should go in this weekend even though I am off but I did so much in preparation so far that until we actually get the okay to pack the floor of the store there really is not much I can do. Think I will wait til Monday and just work like a crazy woman next week. Coffee is ready so I am off to have several cups and clean then maybe go for a walk to clear my brain.
        Peace out...

Happy National and International Quilting Day to all my quilty sisters!!!!
Blondie don't work so hard that you have a relapse! I worry about you. Sending prayers to guard against any more illness for you.
Sandy leave a note for Al telling him where you are incase you get all tangled up in fabric and can't remove yourself. lol
Patti, I'm sorry about your store closing but in a way glad that there is a decision finally. It gives you a direction to go in and some relief as to what has to be done. At least you know for sure and can plan accordingly. That must be a lot off your shoulders. Good luck with your future endeavorers with life in general and with your quilting. Prayers coming your way as always.
Today being a quilting holiday means a lot to me. In one year, I have learned so much, found the best forum online, the best quilting shop(MSQC), the best teacher (Jenny) and most of all, all of you, my new sisters. There is so much love from all of you and for all of you in my heart. Thank you for your love, friendship, fellowship, and the giggles and outright laughter. Your prayers and care of me is much appreciated and returned in full. Thank you. I love you all so much. God Bless and keep each and every one of you. Hugs, Jan

I'm off to see the Wizard. Okay maybe not, but I am headed out to my Quilt Guild meeting today. My guild covers the entire panhandle of my state, so some meetings are harder to make that others - they rotate the locations. Today it is my town, and they are planning several things for National Quilt Day. This afternoon I'll be taking a class. Each quilt guild day they offer two afternoon classes so I'll be busy all day.

patticakes: I'm sure it's nice to have the unknown finally taken care of. I hope you enjoy for "vacation" and congrats to your daughter for such a challenge. I couldn't run 5 yards, let alone 5K.

Sandy: enjoy your weekend - we love 'em, but a break is nice once in a while.

blondie: don't you overdo with things and cause a setback. Too much, too soon can easily cause a relapse.

            Happy Saturday to everyone.

Thank you (((Jan)))) and (((( Nancy))) for your words of support. It was a relief to hear it, I can panic later...LOL. Now I just have to finish this job and walk away proud, ready for my next adventure!
In the meantime, I am doing laundry and working on one of my many started project, the Surfer Girl quilt. I used to never start one project til the other was done, but I am liking that I can choose the one that I feel like working on that day. Just found out I have two new baby quilts to make for a mother and daughter that are both preggies at the same time! Wow...long story, but baby quilt tops are pretty quick to make and easier to handle while quilting, so I am looking forward to it.
Okay, back to the Surfer Girls!
