    Good Morning, everyone!

I see Blondie is probably care-taking or resting this morning. Gee, I sure hope everything is turning up roses for her and her Mom.

Al returns from California this afternoon. Funny how after all these years and spending 24/7 with him for the last 6 or 7 years just how much I miss him when he's not here.

I did start hand quilting on Zoe's quilt in the frame last night. Really don't know what I'm doing and I do wonder how anyone can do those tiny little stitches. Would you believe, my daughter - who has abandoned her quilting projects and now knits instead - can hand piece so small that it looks as if she really used a machine. She's such a perfectionist - which I am DEFINITELY NOT. Gets that from her Daddy.

I have to vent this morning about trash bags. Yes, trash bags. Today is trash day. Usually Al takes care of this without my intervention. I gathered all the trash last night, with the exception of the kitchen. Got up this morning to meet the 6:30 a.m. deadline for having it out and got it in the truck. Came back and went to put the bag back in the kitchen trash can . . . well, the last time I bought trash bags I must have been on a cost-saving mission because I bought an off-brand. I won't mention any names here, but think I may have had potato chips on my mind . . . So I grab a fresh bag and shake it out. Would you believe, it took me about 13 (THIRTEEN) MINUTES to get the bag opened up so I could put it in the trash can? I was absolutely amazed at how difficult it was to get the stupid thing to release where it had been cut. I think I'm going to add the rest of them to the bottom of the bag so it goes out in the trash next week and head to the store to buy a different brand.

I'll be running my DGD Amanda to work this morning and will take the opportunity to drop in and see Mom at the nursing home. Mom will be 95 on the 25th. I get her to sing with me when I visit.

Al just called to let me know he's boarding the plane. He's so funny on the phone - he'll probably call me when they touch down in Salt Lake and then again when he boards there, too.

Hope everyone has a stupendous day!!

      Hello Quilty World!
Sandy what cute rats...lol...but the real ones scare the crap of out me. Have seen real big ones in the cityand boy are they mean!! Once I was outside of Union Station rushing to get to my train as it was very late and dark out. This big one comes running by me and I thought it was a dog! Ewww....river rats are the creepiest!
Glad your other half is on the way home. Your love sounds so sweet and absence makes the heart grow even fonder doesn't it? I am sure he will appreciate the easier open garbage bags too! That always happens to me at the grocery store with those little produce bags. Maybe it is my fat, clumbsy fingers!
Gina have fun and be safe on your journey to town. How is your daughter? What happen at school? When do you move? Nosy aren't I? LOL
Blondie - prayers headed your way for whatever you need at this time. Sure miss you here!!

Well...off to purge and pack whatever I can here at work and continue on until I hear more.
      Take care all!

Re: It is Thursday, I do believe.

Good morning everyone! It's my late day at work, so had the morning to get housework done and some financial aid paperwork for my daughter's last year of college next year. She comes home this weekend for spring break, can't wait to see her, she hasn't been home for a month. Probably won't get much sewing done over the next few days, but I'll find time to scope out a new project, at least. Jenny's method of doing a Drunkard's Path has me really excited, as does a quilt on moda's website, so lots to mull over.

Jan, so sorry to hear your back was acting up again yesterday. Hang in there. Glad to hear everyone else is on the road to recovery.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Morning...late night at work yesterday. Got home and started to veg in front of the TV. Reminded myself this is not how I want to spend my evening so headed upstairs and got my " vintage " quilt top finsihed. Used old vintage material pieces I obtained last year. I will try and post some pics of some of my project I promise. Well must get ready for work.. Worked out of town yesterday and today.
GLad tomorrow is friday but not looking forward to next week. BUSY!

                  Hello All!
It looks like it has stopped raining for a bit, so that makes for a better day already!
I managed to get some more work done on the wedding quilt. I was hoping for some more time this afternoon, but I think that will be filled with house work. Unless... I sew while Em's in school, and then have her help me push the vacuum while I dust. At 5 she thinks running the "sweeper", as Great Grammy calls it, is a fun thing to do. Then as a treat we can make chocolate chip cookies. Hmmm. Sounds like a much better plan, now that I think about it!
I have a job over the weekend! I am going back to do some indoor house painting for the gal that hired me before Christmas! Whoo hoo! If things work out with her job, she's going to hire me to help tidy her house too. At least she doesn't have a husband and two kids that undo most of what I do in less than a day! I love my family, but I think they wouldn't notice if never cleaned.
Prayers for those who need healing and comfort, blessings on all!
Take care of my quilting family!
                  Cathy

Re: It is Thursday, I do believe.

No quilting today, but what a fabulous day. I had a riding lesson this am. Hey, we always can get better, right!? So that went well, and I had something still left in me so we went for a trail ride. I was on my new horse "Eve." She is the smartest most athletic horse I've ever worked with. Well, it's still very wet here, and we misjudged a puddle. I thought it was only a couple of inches and when we went in it went almost to her belly. For a second I felt like we were like that Zebra stuck in a mud pit with hyenas closing in. I'm so proud of her, she kept a level head and we got out smoothly! If I would have had to get off of her the mud would have done up to my waist, maybe midthighs at least! Did I mention this is all part of my job? I'm a lucky girl!

Well, I hope none of you got stuck in mud today, or at least had a horse so amazing to get you out of it A-Okay
                    Nighty night! Sleep tight!

Btw, I just wanted to mention that I hope Blondie and her mom are doing well. God is great, though. It seems so quiet on here without her.
