Good Morning, everyone!
I see Blondie is probably care-taking or resting this morning. Gee, I sure hope everything is turning up roses for her and her Mom.
Al returns from California this afternoon. Funny how after all these years and spending 24/7 with him for the last 6 or 7 years just how much I miss him when he's not here.
I did start hand quilting on Zoe's quilt in the frame last night. Really don't know what I'm doing and I do wonder how anyone can do those tiny little stitches. Would you believe, my daughter - who has abandoned her quilting projects and now knits instead - can hand piece so small that it looks as if she really used a machine. She's such a perfectionist - which I am DEFINITELY NOT. Gets that from her Daddy.
I have to vent this morning about trash bags. Yes, trash bags. Today is trash day. Usually Al takes care of this without my intervention. I gathered all the trash last night, with the exception of the kitchen. Got up this morning to meet the 6:30 a.m. deadline for having it out and got it in the truck. Came back and went to put the bag back in the kitchen trash can . . . well, the last time I bought trash bags I must have been on a cost-saving mission because I bought an off-brand. I won't mention any names here, but think I may have had potato chips on my mind . . . So I grab a fresh bag and shake it out. Would you believe, it took me about 13 (THIRTEEN) MINUTES to get the bag opened up so I could put it in the trash can? I was absolutely amazed at how difficult it was to get the stupid thing to release where it had been cut. I think I'm going to add the rest of them to the bottom of the bag so it goes out in the trash next week and head to the store to buy a different brand.
I'll be running my DGD Amanda to work this morning and will take the opportunity to drop in and see Mom at the nursing home. Mom will be 95 on the 25th. I get her to sing with me when I visit.
Al just called to let me know he's boarding the plane. He's so funny on the phone - he'll probably call me when they touch down in Salt Lake and then again when he boards there, too.
Hope everyone has a stupendous day!!
