    He let it slip . . .

DH doesn't realize that I occasionally read his woodworking blog and see his posts on FB. DUH DH!!
He kept asking what I want for my birthday and I've given him the run around . . . but figured out what he's doing in the shop . . . and what that 'secret' package was that FedEx delivered day before yesterday . . . he bought the gears and is building me a quilt frame!!!!!!!!!!

Don't tell him I've figured it out though. Shhhhhhh!

    I am a very lucky person . . .

    OhMyGoodness! How exciting for you!
When is your birthday?? I just can't wait for it, so we can see the frame.
Do you have a quilt top ready to put in it, or are you going to have to stitch one up for it?
Tell us all about your plans, now that the secret is out!
Can you tell I am excited for you?

What? What? I don't know nothing! So no problem if he asks me if you know of anything.
Can't wait to see that beauty.

hmmm, is there any way that he would know who we all were if we followed this on his blog?
I would love to see it in progress, if he is doing regular postings about it.

What a good hubby! And don't worry, if he comes asking...we'll just say "Sandy who?"

Once again, your hubs gets the Bestest Husband Award. What a precious man he must be. You are one lucky duck and yet I have a feeling you deserve each other.

Re: He let it slip . . .

I can't begin to tell you how wonderful this man is . . . I could share so many stories about how he's made my life a joy . . . almost daily.

I think - since I did twist the story a bit - that he hasn't posted anything except on FaceBook and that was a picture of the base feet and another link to a website that has a similar frame. What is funny is that I was hand tying his Aunt's lap quilt the other day and kept pricking my fingers and hands on the pins . . . I told him that it would be so much easier if I had some place to stretch it out.

I've mentioned how I am wrapping my fabric stash on foam core board? I have been cutting each sheet individually with my rotary cutter and today, for some reason it wasn't working well. I tried using a serrated bread knife and that didn't work. So I wrapped painter's tape around a whole bundle (50 sheets) and took it to the shop (for a sneak peek at the frame) . . . and got him to cut the foam core board on his bandsaw. What a savings in time that was! He's a cutie - just see my avatar. My Colombian coffee bean.

Oh, don't bring cake or ice cream (my hips can't take it) but the Big 67 is Monday the 24th of January.
