    Help me name my baby

No I'm not talking about a sewing machine. lol I am almost 5 months, we are expecting a babygirl in June. We haven't come up with a name we love yet. I like something different. I don't generally like to go with the common names. I have two girls both there name begin with K. We don't mind sticking with K, but also don't have to either. My neice is due in June also she is naming her baby Lauren Paisley, I love it I love that its a fabric design and she doesn't even sew.

Some name ideas I am playing around with.

    Karabeth Grayston
    Kara
    Karaline
    Shyanne Grayston
    Kashanna
    Sharah
    Makenna
    Brook

    Any suggestions?

HI, I love the names Micala and Jenna. If I had had a girl I would have named her Heather Lynn but there are too many Heathers now. My adopted daughters name is Lila Jill. I also like Jillian. There, that is a couple to accept or reject. Congratulations on the baby. Hugs, Jan L

My daughters SIL named her little girl Phoenix, which her own mother was aghast at but I really liked it. She's had two more little girls since and both have rather unusual names.

        Congrats on the upcoming arrival!
Lyn, I have a cousin who named her girl Phoenix Skye. I have never been to Phoenix but have often wondered if the sky in the morning was as red as her hair! lol.

        K names I like are:
        Kalea
        Kara
        Kami

Well, I was going to suggest Skye and with only a couple responses it is already noted How funny! Anyways, I have a granddaughter whose name is Karenna. Both her of her Grandmothers names are Karen so the kids just transformed it. I have Granddaugters named Amythest and Jadelyn also. You can imagine that they are called Amy and Jade.

          Enjoy this time!

I have 2 sons and 1 daughter, and have never regretted naming her Paige. It's a little more popular now than when I named her that 22 years ago... I think it's a beautiful name.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I wanted to name her Desiree Nicole but my Husband and my mother both had a fit. So I named her after one of my favorite Soap Opera's that was on back in 1984 and 1985 Ryans Hope. Her name is Ryan Michelle. My husbands name is Michael so I had decided on Ryan Michelle for a girl and Ryan Michael for a boy. Yes she is called Mr. alot but 25 years later the name still suits her. Good Luck.

My husband's grandmother was Katherine Elizabeth.

We decided that if we have a daughter her name will be Gloria Katherine. My grandmother and his grandmother's names .....

Re: Help me name my baby

Congratulations! May you be very blessed with this life joining your family!
I love your first choice: Karabeth Grayston because it sounds so pretty! I love "double" names - My daughter's name is Caryn Elisabeth - and we used to call her Carrie Beth. Maybe that is why I like your choice. My Caryn came from my grandmother's name Carolyn (I just took out the ol)
Could even add your own letter to be different: KayraBeth (pronounced with long i sound)
My grand daughters have VERBS for their names. Their parents find a Bible verse that marks their relationship with the Lord during pregnancy and have named their girls accordingly.
                  Imagine, Promise, and Amaze.
Nicknames for them are: "Maggie, Missy, and Maisy" - making me a 3-M grandmother.
My suggestion is just be creative with the reason! I think it is important for the child to know there is a reason for their name - something positive, something they can be proud of, live up to, or that has an awesome story about when they joined your family!
I'm sure you'll have a perfect one by the time she arrives! Fun to think about, isn't it?! Best wishes!

Re: Help me name my baby

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I am still leaning toward Karabeth since I haven't come across anything else I just love. Now I need a middle name. Dh likes Karabeth Grayston that is really long thought and it sounds to much like my second daugthers middle name. There intials would be the exact same too.

If K names are the preference what about Krystel, it's a variation of the usual spelling and is very pretty for a girls name.

Re: Help me name my baby

Karabeth is a very pretty name! My kids are Michael Steven , Michelle Lynn and Christopher Zada. Michelle was named after the Beatles song (michelle my bell) and Zada was a name from my husband's family.
One thing to consider is if the names will get mixed up as they get older. My daughter has had problems with mix ups with "michael", which of course is her brother! These mix ups happened with school, mail, and credit things. So strange but it happens. Just a thought if your kids names are close in sound.
I have a DGD named Kaylee Jade. She tells me "K names are KOOL"!
                              Whatever you choose...congrats!!
